Event: Baldwin hill training

Orienteering 45:45 [3] *** 3.9 km (11:44 / km) +200m 9:20 / km
ahr:153 max:175 shoes: asics GT-2090
Line-o at Baldwin Hill. Lost contact a couple of times, but mostly it was pretty good. I'm a bit dubious of my climb estimate.
Orienteering 1:38:13 [3] *** 7.2 km (13:38 / km) +300m 11:17 / km
ahr:149 max:173 spiked:8/13c (injured) shoes: asics GT-2090
I pretty much bombed the long legs, but was ok in the detailed areas. Arch started hurting a little early on, then was fine, then gave me more trouble from 9 on. Now it's pretty tight (3:30pm). I wore a new pair of inserts in my shoes, which helped a bit, I think. Aside from that, I was slipping all over the place without studs, but I'm pretty sure those would have bothered my arches even more. Probably should have cut the course short.

Thursday Feb 9

elliptical 1:00:00 [2] 5.7 mi (10:30 / mi)
ahr:140 rhr:53 slept:9.0 shoes: asics gel-landreth II
A mix of inclines/resistances, but mostly 5-10 incline and 1-3 resistance. Aimed for 180 strides/min. Max HR was 179 which must be a fluke.
