Orienteering race (long) 1:18:38 [3] *** 9.57 km (8:13 / km)

Red M at Umstead. Ran pretty well, maybe 2-3' navigational mistakes, looks like a 1' route choice error on #3. IT band sore afterwards, slightly rolled my ankle towards the end, but it should be back to normal in a week or two.

Day 2: Red M - Splits

Bad run. I lost contact on #7 and it took way too long to relocate. Then I went way left on #9 because I misread the reentrants coming down the slope before the ridge the control was on. Otherwise I was just sloooow. But there's no excuse for making 9 minutes of mistakes.

M21 WRE Blue - Splits

Friday Mar 2

Event: BOK/US Team Umstead 007

stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]
Orienteering race (sprint) 22:03 [4] ***
spiked:6/12c weight:161lbs shoes: Adidas Novas
Way too many small mistakes and a couple big ones. Bad route choice from 3-4 (went around on the road), then I went too high past 7 and had to relocate off the buildings. The next few controls all had minor problems. Just not thinking straight at the end; probably went faster than my currently level of fitness allows (mentally speaking).

Long Sprint - Splits
