Sunday Jul 15

Note
(sick)
Totally lacking any energy at all.

Saturday Jul 14

running (road) 45:00 [2] 4.76 mi (9:26 / mi)
ahr:137 slept:9.0 shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Ran over to, around, and back from Tufts, plus jogging 250m between strides. Felt pretty sluggish after my long day of t-shirt wearing. But seriously, I did feel sluggish.
running (track) 4:20 [5] 1.3 km (3:20 / km)
shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Did some strides on the Tufts track. 6x30sec + 2x200m. Pretty fast; felt good and strong. My hr was in the 160s, maxing out at about 170. I guess it was a cool evening.
stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]
Kind of stiff today.

Friday Jul 13

AP t-shirt 1 [0]
ahr:60
Hey, it wasn't my idea.

[edit: ok, silliness is over; that was totally screwing up my log t=14h->1sec]

Thursday Jul 12

running warm up/down (track/road) 28:00 [2] 3.11 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
running tempo (track) 30:30 [3] ***** 7.2 km (4:14 / km)
slept:7.5 shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
6x1200 threshold intervals with 1min rest inbetween. Target time was 5 minutes. Had a 1:10 Hogencamp with a course drawn out on it. I decided to try something new which was to run 1 leg per 400m, then go on to the next leg. This really didn't work. I thought about my route, but I really didn't practice checking off features. From a physical standpoint, I felt strong, and the workout seemed easy, which was surprising since I haven't done threshold work in a while.

elliptical warm up/down 15:00 [2] 1.81 mi (8:17 / mi)
ahr:137 shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Forgot to bring my map with me...

Full circuit at Hemenway. Finally saw the physio today who said I have a ligament sliding over something in my hip, which was causing a sort of popping. She didn't seem to think it was much to be concerned about, and told me to keep doing what I'm doing.
running warm up/down (treadmill) 10:00 [2] 1.14 mi (8:46 / mi)
ahr:140 shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Incline 2.

Tuesday Jul 10

running warm up/down (road) 19:00 [2] 2.17 mi (8:44 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Ran over to the track for the CSU workout, but nobody was there. Also the track was closed for resurfacing. Maybe it was supposed to be at MIT this week? Anyway, hung around for a couple of minutes and ran back.
Orienteering (sprint) 17:00 [3] *** 3.32 km (5:07 / km)
spiked:17/18c shoes: Gel Cumulus 2006
Ran the night-o course from Friday, picking up the controls. With near to full knowledge of the map, route choices, and control locations, I still lost a couple of seconds on #17 - just wasn't paying attention. I somehow forgot to hit the split button between the jog back from the track and this, so 17 is a guess but I'd say it's an upper limit.
stretching warm up/down 15:00 [0]
Before and after. Thought about going out again for a jog along the river, but I'd probably end up staying out another 20-25 minutes, and I think it's a psychological boon to feel good rather than tired at the end of an easy day.
