Running race 45:28 [4] 10 km (4:33 / km) vdot: 44.7
Newcastle Cross Country race at Redhead Beach. 2.5 km south, 2.5 km north, then repeat! Put up with very wet socks/shoes, or put up with very soft sand. Opted for the former - many ran in bare feet, which in hindsight might have been an interesting choice. Don't do much of this any more - had nothing to offer in the final 2.5 km - very glad to see the finish. Enjoyed watching the battle up in front between Steveo and a 'female assassin' - boy she was clinical ,cold and brutal in the last 2.5km!

Golf 40:00 [1]
Wedges down at the Common. Mat Jones, local legend and trainee pro was down there. Felt I spent most of the time watching him. The ball flight of a great golfer is fantastic to watch.

Orienteering race 1:11:23 [4] **** 6.8 km (10:30 / km) +225m 9:00 / km
spiked:10/17c
ACT long distance champs. at 'Boboyan Divide'. What a difference a day makes. Some time lost in the circle at times, but I had great map contact on most legs, and used the contours very well to-day. Of course, good map contact usually implies some defensive route choices again, and that was the case compared to others, but a very enjoyable day on a great area - the sort of effort that keeps bringing me back to this great sport.
