| NSW Middle Distance Champs / 'Baronga Creek' / 1:10 000. The technical challenge and physically tough vegetation (at times) caught me by surprise. By my standards had 15 good legs. Not surprisingly though, when I stuffed a control, I did a good job of it in this type of terrain. 3 big chunks of time were lost, and I finished up way down the list of finishers. Plenty to be happy about though. |

| Collecting controls. About 60 starters - not too bad, but on a great day on such a different style of Newcastle map can't help but think that an hours drive to Singleton is a problem for many. Think the courses were well received - regret leaving control 2 on the green course - nearly took it out last night - feedback suggests it was not a good control. Ah well - you live and learn. Very enjoyable, but very long day. |
