Running long 39:00 [5] 8.5 km (4:35 / km)

Didnt get much sleep and I had to get up before 6 for my eight hr shift (blaah). But I still made the effort to go for what is a long run for me. I decided to go somewhere new (exciting). I got dropped off at Glendale. I ran along the road, there were a few major hills. I was hoping for it to be a 50something minute run but I tried to keep a good pace. Next tym ill have to get driven further. My legs felt really good after 30mins, probs cos it was downhill. I didnt get any leg cramps either, my physio (aka mum) taught me the right stretch. But yeah its mad training for inward bound in 3yrs tym or so :P

Flexibility 5:00 [2]

Did some stretching after my run, it felt good I should stretch more often.

Running race 25:20 [5] 6.3 km (4:01 / km)

Newcastle x country champs at Walka. It was uncomfortably hot and I hate running up the hill at the start (I really dont like running on grass, grr). My legs felt heavy and weak the whole race and I got those retarded cramps again. I know if I run lyk that at regional ill get owned. I didnt get under a 4min k lyk i was hoping, totally off pace. It probs didnt help that i didnt hav anyone to race against, apart from boys and i cant b stuffed trying to catch them. I think I need to get this strange leg pain thing sorted first. Aps they added another 170ms each 3k lap so I adjusted my time.

Flexibility 5:00 [2]

Did some good stretching. Ive been feeling a bit tight in my calves and hips lately.

Running 10:00 [2]

Warmup and a bit of a warm down with the girls :)

Running 34:00 [4]

I fell asleep in English today (again!) lol... I didnt feel like going for a run today (that is what rest does to me) but I ended up going for my longest bush run (which isnt very long but I run out of space and refuse to do laps). I was going hard and then I remebered Im hoping to 'race' tomorrow. I got nasty below calf cramps (in the same place as tuesday) but i didnt do any stretching before hand (naughty and stupid i kno). Anyways it was really annoying cos I couldnt run at full capacity for a while. So... Im going to start paying more attention to my stretching cos I dont want to get injured :(

Strength 15:00 [5]

I did some situps and pushups. I think I need to do them more consistently cos i kinda suck. Pushups make me feel so heavy and weak, but I hope they will make me tuffer :P

Note
(rest day)

I didnt actually hav tym to run 2day. I got back from the excursion too late and its getting dark so earlly, gah. So I took my naughty puppy for a walk to stretch my legs. I wouldve liked to hav run today. I saw all these ppl running today at bicentennial park and they looked as thought they were having a good time.

Running 23:00 [5]

I went for a flatish run. I tried to focus on leg speed. There were so many cars, it was annoying. I kept on running into swarms of bugs and I got a stitch a minute or so into my run. It only lasted about 2 minutes though. Overall it felt alright I tried to push myself. Im trying to be consistent with my training at the mo.

Running 1:15:00 [3]

We did a 2k warmup as always. Then stretching, run throughs, etc. I cbf segmenting my training rite now. We did a 1.7km to start with, I felt pretty good. We then had a bit of a break and did a 3.4km. I was trying to go fast and catch Josh (he just kept on getting faster :) machinee) but with about 1km to go I got bad muscle cramps, I also got heaps bored... Running around the fields is so boring.... We then did did 2X750ms and warmed down. Dont know wat im gunna do tomorrow going for runs is boring, i need a new course or something.
