Bush Orienteering race 1:30:00 [2]

I started off really well, I was reading the contours, taking bearings, finding the controls quickly and easily. Then..I couldnt find the nxt control fell over and got heaps frustrated turns out i was in the wrong place, i dont even kno how i got there. Ended up somewher v random and asked a lady in her car for help, had to run back along the road for a while. i was v happy with the first bit but i made such a mass mistake, im a bit disappointed:( i dont sound like a walrus anymore but im not back to normal yet.. i hav an impressive lump on my knee from yesterday

Think it took me about that, didnt tym myself, Did the first one alone, zigzagged HEAPS. i found the 1st checkpoint too easily and had a bit too much confidence. Got there eventually but wasted a lot of time..and by that i dont mean 30 seconds i mean 30minutes..haha

I went heaps slower this time, with my mum. My throat hurt and i fell ovarh..but my navigation was much better. I mostly walked, took some really nice bearings, got heaps excited when i found controls... lol.I wouldve liked to have gone faster but i think itll take a while cos im just learning. josh was a great help btw. hopefully ill go ok tommorow, doin an orange on my own for the first tym (omg)

Not really happy with the time, but i wasnt all that healthy. i neva thought i would but i kind of miss track, im def reddy for some more steeple training. Throat felt good. run was..ok, short, i dunno. i won my graade

not allowed to run today..i walked home from school, i didnt go to school tho long story (took aages, lik an hr and a half but i had to check my rosters, and i went to newsagents) and i think my sinuses are blocked cos my head hurt. i still sound a bit like a walrus, i dno wat its gonna be like tomorrow. I think itl get worse over the w/nd, feeling blob-like

my mutharh says i hav a virass.. and that i shouldnt talk cos it might damage my vocal chords (oh no..). But my voice sounds heaps funny, esp when i sing and laugh im kind of enjoying it. I have so much enerrrgy tho but i am not allowed to run. i might rest tomorow if its still bad so i can go oing and xcountrying on satday, funn :)

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Legs felt tired in my quick warmup but I tried to convince myself they werent.

Running race 18:44 [5] 5.0 km (3:45 / km)

Sleeping in was a great plan. Zone was pretty fun cos we had a bread rave and knicked off to the shops for icecream :) I wasnt v. nervous b4 my race. When I was running i was thinking about regional. The course was flat and grassy which didnt suit me, i didnt feel lyk i was going fast at all. Unless ive got someone close behind me im a bit slack. there was another bomb scare at my school and getting inches of my hair chopped off today. I think ill go to training 2moz, my voice is a bit sketchy but my throat isnt sore or anything.
and all the girls from MHS did heaps good and theyr all coming to regional too!! :D

Zone tommorow. im gunna skip my early class and sport for a sleep in..yay. Ive had a sore throat and im feeling a bit nervous but everyones comin so it should be funn

Running 30:00 [4]

Thought i should go for a run today cos tommorows a rest dayy..Didnt go very fast, just cruised. It felt nice just chugging along but i think the cold air gave me a bit of a headache.
