heaps of warm up and warmdown, many many laps of the deep grass. grass is tiering. we had to warm up twice cos we went to go watch hacky swim in the middle :)

our academy coach, scott introd us to some fahrtlek. ive never done anything like it before, it was pretty tough. scott is such an amazing coach :D oh and he informed me that tapering meant cutting down training volume. not intensity. eg, instead of doin 800m intervals i might do 200m intervals & less of them but still at high intensity. i thought that was inneresting.

stretching befor training. plus the squad also spent a while learning new & xciting stretches from the coaches! it was funnn. i think i had the most flexible hamstrings there. hehe :P

i feel as though im making quiet progress. was fun :)

four 600ms w 4mins break in btwn. 5 hurdles a lap. i remebered my times woot: 2.02, 2.00, 2.00, 2.00. which is 6.40 pace, so dave is hoping i can run 7mins. hes such an awesome coach :D

quite a fast warm up pace. was feeling tired. my knees were heaps sore this am from... :S

was supposed to be real easy cos ive already done intervals. i know i should also b tapering but i just feel like intense training atm. unfortunate cos i didnt feel like doin anything a wk ago. my neck hurt so much at one point i considered stopping. alas i didnt. we ran up a hill that ive trained on before. its a pretty intense hill, i knew it would be worth it one day. lol. i wanted to go under 20mins. fail! ah if only i had gone 3sec faster. but i dont really care that much :P

Been goin for harder runs this wk. Dk why, i think it mayb cos ive been stressed or something. This particular run always makes me feel confused. It was pretty nice, im glad I made the effort.

Stretching on the driveway watching the sunset. ahh. the weather was bliss todayy. A few mins were spent in the lotus..man that stretch is fulfilling. forget the splits. the lotus is where its at. hehe :P

four 750ish metres: 2.20, 2.15, 2.12, 2.13.71. yeah the last is heaps accurate cos phil kept on makin me guess my time. i guessed 2.14 which is technically right. neways, it was all girls training today and the gossip was juicy :P! lol. tried to run fast, put in a good effort. felt a bit sick. training felt a bit more purposeful than usual.. :)
there were annoying little kids w sticks, racing after us yelling. yes actually, i was proud of myself for ignoring them. they reminded me of the magpie attacks at stevenson park. ooh and one of the guys from training once came 4th at regs, state, nationals, in one year :P
sorry if that was boring. does anyone have an idea for a science expt?

badminton after all. didnt do much. tired cos i was up late watchin the horsies at the oylmpics. i musst watch the horse steeplechase.. lol :P

I knew i wasnt gonna feel great cos i ate a fair amount of banana bread right befor. Tried to run as fast as i could the whole way..ah :O! Felt faster than it was *sigh*. My right calf burned a bit, like it did a few wks ago.i think its cos my right foot pronates. felt so dead at the end. like id been racing ... :P

five 600ms, all under 2mins like hans wanted (i think). they werent amazing but at least i did somethin. it was a bit trippy. happy but unhappy that i wasnt doin 3,2,1's. felt a bit unco today (damn bunting), shorts wer annyoing. i think ive worked something out. maybe. but first... i should do my assignment!

pushed myself to go for a run yesterday wen i didnt wanna & it sucked so i wasnt gonna do it again today. brr its so cold :( i had a nap wen i got home. i really just wanna hibernate... lol
