Monday Jun 30

Note
(rest day)
i did actually plan a 5 k run, but i had to do some cleaning when i got home and i only get home at about 4 20 so its gets dark soon after, so it was well dark when i was ready so i didn't go. but rest is good, hope to do longer run tomorrow if i remember

Sunday Jun 29

Mountain biking 1:40:00 [3] 22 km (4:33 / km)
ride with dad in glenrock lagoon. did a nice loop at a moderate pace, but we went up a few large long steep hills that weren't so nice. it was also mostly technical singletrack so that made things difficult. got very saddle sore towards the end because i rode dads anthem and his seat is hard and pointy.
still fun though

Saturday Jun 28

Running 42:00 [5] 10 km (4:12 / km) +200m 3:49 / km
shoes: Teva shoes
Same run as yesterday, except faster. hurting a bit right about now, and supposed to be doing more tomorrow, but should be good fun. a new pb for this run. and 6 months ago i can remember being pleased that i did it in 47 mins. so pretty happy about that, except i was trying to beat dads pb, and i failed by 3 measly seconds. but oh well
Warm up/ down (stretching) 15:00 [1]
5 mins before run, 10 mins afterwards. and man i needed it so bad afterwards, felt so good as i was a bit sore. also went for a small jog to warm down

Friday Jun 27

Running 52:56 [3] 10 km (5:18 / km) +200m 4:49 / km
shoes: Teva shoes
long slow run to merewether baths and back over king edward. ran with dad. good fun
Warm up/ down (stretching) 10:00 [1]
stretch after run

Saturday Jun 21

Running 43:21 [4] 10 km (4:20 / km)
decided to go for a steady run, ended up pushing to beat the remaining sunlight. meh felt really good anyway, would have liked to do my 15 k loop except there wasn't enough light. but oh well. a few hills but nothing major.
i was pretty pleased actually as i began to run on these loops i made about 6 months ago, and thought they were decent, and i even needed to walk in sections, but today for example i ran fast the whole way and didn't even notice some of the hills. so i'm pretty happy with how my fitness is going, although i do need to train more frequently, because i get a bit lazy, especially on a school day

Warm up/ down (Stretching) 10:00 [1]
warm down afterwards. i should really do more of these, but i always forget. eg lack of warm up. but i just did some stretches when i got back

Friday Jun 20

School sport (Basketball) 40:00 [3]
More basketball, except it was 6 on 6. it was sort of a continue on from the day before, with the same two teachers on different teams. plenty of sprinting up and down as no one really had a defined position. close game but my team won in the dying seconds 46 - 43. good workout, which is unusual for my slr class.

Thursday Jun 19

School sport (Basketball) 40:00 [3]
Slr class game 2 on 2 half court game of basketball. normally this wouldn't be worth putting on, except it was me and a teacher vs another bloke and a teacher, and the teachers wanted to beat each other, so it was actually hard work. i was taking shots afterwards and i was pretty tired so i missed every single one. or maybe that was just my lack of skill.

Sunday Jun 15

Event: Paddy Pallin 6 hour Rogaine

Rogaining race 5:52:00 [3] ** 30 km (11:44 / km)
shoes: Teva shoes
Paddy pallin 6 hour rogaine down at Newnes. and it was COLD. especially when we started. went a fair distance, not quite sure exactly, about 30 ks, maybe a bit more i think. and we ran a fair part of it, and now i'm so tired. won the family category, suppose i should say i ran in it with dad about now, came 9th in mens and 12th overall from about 250 teams. so very pleased with that. unfortunately i have school camp for the next 3 days, so i will be buggered by wednesday arvo. hopefully we will do something worth logging at camp though, as i'm trying to resurrect my log from the dead.

Wednesday Jun 4

Note
(sick)
yeah i sorta caught a cold from my sister, and it didn't help that i went walking around in the rain today.

Sunday Jun 1

Event: MTBO Superseries #4

MTB Orienteering race 1:08:56 [5] ** 17.8 km (3:52 / km)
SS4 mountain bike orienteering at Kitchener. went in the medium, and won, but not by much, about 1 and a bit minutes over Josh Blatchford. its like one of the only times that i will beat him though, he's just too good. didn't really make too many mistakes, and the ones i did make were minor. happy with my route choice as well. legs are slightly sore though.

Warm up/ down 10:00 [1]
