super long world champs. time is estimate with some rests included and some not, like at maccas. 1k warm up included. got lost on the first one, but went hard on the second behind josh but got taken by ben near the end. sat on the back for the next and the 3 after maccas while i digested then went on the next, feeling good and got 2nd. then after lots of drinks i took it easy for the next couple then walked with rob who was in pain and dropped really far behind so i cut a corner not wanting to hold anyone up and thats why my distance is a little shorter. didn't contest for the last even though i felt good but because i'd cut a corner i didn't feel right going for it. shoes gave me sore feet but no blisters and amazing my legs were ok the next day. how about that

run out the breakwall and back testing out the new shoes. bit of a story behind the shoes. my lunarglides had died and were hurting my feet and i needed a new cushioned pair of shoes. so dad ordered me a pair of nike lunar eclipses for my birthday, except the colour i wanted was out of stock. as super long world champs approached i was worried about what shoe i would wear as my lunarglides were gone and my frees and talons were the only other shoes i had. so i researched and dad ordered me a second pair of shoes for my birthday (lucky me) and they came today in time. i knew they were tempo trainers but i didn't realise until today that they were the 2nd firmest shoe in the lunar range, with only the lunar racer beating it. so whilst they are awesome lightweight tempo shoes, i dunno how they/my feet/my legs will go in them tomorrow. but unfortunately they are the best i have right now. they were really good on the run tonight but we'll see how i feel about them after tomorrow

Orienteering race 50:59 [5] * 11.35 km (4:30 / km)

street o at east maitland. bit of local knowledge today but it sorta sucked cos i knew exactly how far away stuff was and how big the hills were so that was sorta annoying mentally. was running out of time but there was still a loop with a lot of points in it so i went for it in the hope i'd be back before 50 mins, hence only losing 5 points and being ahead on what i would have gotten coming straight back. but i struggled and couldn't do it in time and lost 7 which hurt. should have done what steve did coming back, he got me by one point. ah well. thanks nic, rhi and sal :)

ints at the oval, 10 x 400m, 2:30 min cycle
didn't feel too good running in the warm up and was struggling to decide between 2min and 2:30 cycle. first int was 77 and i felt slow running so i decided on 2:30. but my times improved and i actually felt like i was running well for the last couple (except the fact that i was tired). times were 77, 74, 74, 76, 75, 76, 74, 74, 75, 70. i like to think the oval is about 2 secs slower than the track so happy with that. will do 2 min cycle next time
