Orienteering race 18:01 [5] 3.5 km (5:09 / km)

Aus Sprint Champs at Griffith Uni. Had a shocker! Started slow and got the first few okay if not a bit hesitantly. Then ran into dead ends on the way to 5. Recognised the control was up but executed it poorly losing a fair chunk. Also ran into a dead end coming out of 7, then went really far right losing my head a bit. Next few were ok but on route to 13, again I recognised how to get to the control but the sight of the main road confused me and I ended up stuffing around here too. Eventually Jarrah caught me 1 min and I got a tow with him without too much more drama.

So a bit disappointing. Ended up 10th I think but certainly the potential to snatch a few more NOL points in a weaker field went begging.

Running 1st leg tomorrow for Stingers A. Hopefully I can redeem myself!

Run to Merewether and back plus Scenic Dr. Unfortunately the storm broke on me with a km to go so I got completely drenched at the very end.

20 mins on the bike, which had gears and a screen with the course and handlebars that moved which kept me pretty interested.
Then 5km row.

HV Champs at Wallaroo. Had a good run, didn't really miss any too much, just a little off on a couple. Ran ok too cos it wasn't too physical in terms of climb. Bit of a confidence boost before next weekend.
