Street o is back!! Warm up event at Kahibah. Very rusty early on and wasted time on a few answers. Essentially ran my route from last year backwards except I picked up 1E this time. Disappointed to be 5 secs late given all the places I wasted time. Still I ran ok and hopefully that'll improve as the season goes on!

Orienteering race 58:56 [3] 5.3 km (11:07 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #4 (blue)

Aus Middle at The Cascades. Had a shocker! Started cautiously but still dropped a minute each at 2 and 3. Got the next few okay although was being super cautious and slow through the terrain. Big mistake at 8, went too high, got confused on the bare rock and ended up near 9. Another couple of mins lost at 13, which was just a rookie error by me.

Felt so slow through the terrain, spent most of the time trying not to fall over. Finished way down in 30th, soundly beaten by a few older (and more experienced) orienteers. Never been strong in low vis granite, mainly cos I rarely run on it!
