Aus Long at Hill End. A bit of a shambles from me, got my start time wrong and very nearly missed it. Very cautious in the first 7, my eyes were streaming water and was struggling to read the map. A little miss on 8 where I convinced myself I was somewhere else on the map when really I was spot on in the first place. Left to 9 which was a bit too wide but worth a shot. A bit messy to 11 as well. Had my gel at 11 and felt pretty sick in the stomach soon after. Coming back through the start to 12 the tank went to empty, which surprised me because I hadn't been pushing trying to conserve energy. Felt awful and considered pulling the pin, but I hate not finishing so I persevered with a combo of walk and slow jog for the remainder.
Disappointing to blow up like that and so early too but I suspect I'm fighting off a cold as my nose was blocked a lot going round, which may have effected me somewhat. Also was a trial of my new ankle braces, which were effective but hurt a bit and kept coming loose.

Intervals at Glendale with Sal. Unfortunately the track closed at 7 so we only got to do 8 x 200m with a minute and a bit rest. Includes warm up and a longer warm down around the shops. Keen to make it a regular session as I felt so unco trying to run fast.

Aus Middle at Hill End. Did ok, a few small errors but nothing too major until 23 and 24, where I misread the detail and pulled up too soon. Lost about 3 mins and a good 7 places here in the end.
