Legs quite tired from Saturday, so dialled my original plans back a bit. Headed to Cowlairs and did the figure of eight loop followed by some hill sprints on the steep banks. Back home via Hamiltonhill.

Up the river to Maryhill, then two circuits of Ruchill golf course plus a loop of Ruchill Park on the way home. Very squelchy and slippy on the golf course with intermittent driving sleet, all of which made it into a really good hard workout.

Running 50:00 [3]

After a long and very stressful day I needed a head clearing run. Out through the park and along Dumbarton Road, round to Anniesland, then home via Gartnavel and Great Western Road. Worked hard into the breeze on the way home, and felt pretty tired by the end. Job done.

Steady run, featuring two loops of Hamiltonhill, along the canal past a floodlit Firhill and a circuit of Ruchill Park (saw a deer). Detoured a bit on the way home to push the time up towards the hour.

Tuesday Jan 31, 2017 #

Running 15:00 [5]

Long-ish reps in Kelvingrove (solo, as the Shetts were out east this week). 3.50, 3.49 and 3.45. Pretty disappointed with the pace as I managed similar times in the autumn and had felt I was getting quicker since then. Conditions were OK so I can only hope that Sunday's run was still in my legs.

End of a good month's training, though clearly more work is needed before the O season kicks off properly.
