Easy jog from home to Glasgow Green.

Orienteering 21:35 [5]

Maprun course on Glasgow Green. Nominal 3.5km, but the river crossings and urban bits meant a running distance just over 4.5 (based on Maprun track lengths). Made a few ~5 second errors due to not bringing a compass (surprisingly useful on a flat area with a radial path layout), and fitting the PDF onto an A4 sheet which turned the 1:4000 map scale into 1:7500, making the gaps in the fences rather hard to spot. Quite glad these mistakes weren't being picked up on a GPS track!

According to the results list I was around 45 seconds quicker than Gordon Hale (on Wednesday), though someone did 22.04 with a missing punch in Terry's original event. Also faster than the head of the IOF!

Steady run home (after a short rest) via a somewhat longer route along the Clyde.

Bishopbriggs, Torrance and through the backroads to Baldernock before heading up to Mugdock Visitor Centre (still closed, though the car park was pretty busy). Had a brief wander around before heading home via Milngavie and Maryhill Road. Quite amazing numbers of bikes out, from families with young kids through to serious-looking types with the full kit. Hope this lasts beyond the end of the travel restrictions.

Auchinloch loop on a gloriously sunny morning. Headwind on the way out, which made for a speedy cruise home. Chain still jumping around despite my best efforts at fiddling with it.

Abortive attempt at a run up the river...got as far as the Botanics and decided to turn round. Legs still in pieces after Sunday's efforts, and the muscles round my R hip are also pretty stiff. More stretching required.

Spin around north Glasgow on a very warm and sticky afternoon. Sweated a fair bit.

Stiff and achey in places, but no worse than expected. Definitely time for an easy week.
