Marks Park to Tamarama with tinytoes for our annual "Sculpture by the Sea" walk (+ Andrew and Astrid for the first time), or as it turned out late this afternoon "Sculpture in the Sea". First time I have seen a sculpture floating away, floating back and then wrecked on the beach in the massive surf. Appropriately it was Fair dinkum Offshore Processing, and the fate of the sculpture another part of the continuing sad story.
A memorable day also for the offer of assistance from a 85(?) year old man when I was making a slow, and I thought careful, transition from sitting down to standing on a 20 degree grassy slope - I was obviously much less elegant about it than I tried to be!
