58:47 official time, 58:23 line to line

relatively warm, fine, but very windy - blown off crutches a couple of times in big gusts, and noticably more difficult with cross wind - course more protected from westerly on Linwood side of creek (wind gusts over 80km/hr recorded at Nobbys)

didn't push to PB level because of conditions and shortfall in recent training - felt very comfortable at finish so hopefully plenty in reserve.

first time using the dictus band with blue Adidas runners - not sure if the few instances of slight catch of foot was due to change in foot control or instability due to effect of wind gusts - more study needed, but no comfort problems.

I think the dragon boats would have been almost as fast today if the paddlers kept their paddles out of the water and held them up as fixed sails, especially as up and down the creek was good reaching conditions.

setting up new CSU base map - extracting data from files supplied by CSU, including 5cm resolution aerial - 27000 x 21000 pixel, 980MB - so used up a bit of RAM
