Saturday May 31

Netball race (Game at Charlestown) 1:00:00 [4]
Well, WE had the full team there today but one of the girls hurt her leg in the first quarter so she was off for the rest of the game. Personally, i think i played BAD!!!! i was/am very dissappointed in my game and was pretty miserable after the game. I had to play WD the full game and yea. I really need to prectice!!

Did the usual warm up stuff folowed by a half game. Felt good warming up : ) We then played a half game before it started

Friday May 30

Running race (Regional Cross Country) 13:25 [5] 3 km (4:28 / km) vdot: 42.1
I forgot to start my watch and then forgot to stop it but mum told me this was my time. I wish i had've gone better. I always say that after a run but i don't know whether i could've actually done it out there. There was one girl infront of me the whole way that i badly wanted to catch so that got me moving along. I didn't think i would have a chance getting in individually but our age group had a pretty good school team so i had hopes up but Hunter Sports High got it instead. Not getting in this year has made me even more determined to do better next year : )

I really don't know how long this was really. I ran around a bit before we got called (like running to and from the toilet lol) and then i ran to the start area where we stretched. I was really really nervous before the run, i thought i was going to be sick : )

Wednesday May 28

Running (Run around ashtonfield) 20:05 [4]
Got told that i should go for about a 20 minute run today so thats what i did. Mum came with me and we decided to go 10 minutes out and 10minutes back. I told myself that i wanted to beat my time on the way back and i did by about 25 seconds so i was happy with that. I got a bad stitch which sucked badly but i kept running because someone said it was good to and also those stupid invisible bugs were out again tonight. I have a feeling i will wake up tomorrow with a red, sore eye : (
But other than that it was a good run : )

Tuesday May 27

Netball (Training at Charlestown) 1:00:00 [3]
It was just training like usual. We did a fair bit of drill work at the start because the coach thinks our timing is bad. We then did a little half game followed by a real game against the 14 years rep team. In the game i played C and WD. I think i need to practice more at home : )

Monday May 26

cycling (Cycling class at the gym) 45:00 [4]
Was a good hard class today. I worked hard during it. We did a fair few hills and some sprints and also a long track at the end. My legs were hurting during it and when he old us to work hard i really did. I felt a little sick afterwards so that shows me that i did work hard : )

A local event at 'Wallaroo Forest'. I quite liked the vegetation today and was happy with my run until i saw my time. That might sound wierd but i really thought i was doing well with my run when i was out there and i didn't think i took that long. I made no mistakes and it was a pretty clean run i just wish i had gone quicker. I did lose a tiny bit of concentration on the last leg but it was good otherwise. I guess i shouldn't really be worrying about the time so anyways : )

I don't really know the time for this but i think it is about 7mins. I jogged to the start (i call that a warm up : P) and when i had finished i jogged to the car to get our drinks (and i call that a warm down : P). I was happy that i did a 'warm down' because i never really do.

Saturday May 24

Netball race (Game at Charlestown) 45:00 [4]
We had all of our players there today so once again everyone got a quarter off. It was a fairly hard game, we played the team on the top of the ladder and we only lost by six. I played WA for two quarters and WD for one. I didn't play that good. I wish i had have gone better, but i guess it wasn't that bad : )
Once again i have hurtful blisters on my lovely toes :(

We did the usual warm up stuff before the game. Running drills, passing drills and a little half game before the start of the game : )

Friday May 23

Running (A run around Ashtonfield) 26:51 [3]
I went with a run with mummy dearest to take back two dvd's to the dvd store. It was a good run and i enjoyed it. Before we left i said i wanted to beat my time on the way back. I did but we had to go a little shorter because it was starting to get dark but it was only a small bit shorter. It took me 13:44 to get to the store and 13:07 to come home. Once again on the home section i pushed a bit harder and i was proud of that : )

Thursday May 22

Running (Around Ashtonfield) 31:34 [3]
Went for a run with mum around Ashtonfield when she got back from work. It was a good run but silly billy mum didn't go to the toilet before we left. That meant we had to go past the Service Station and change the route, but anyway. Before the stop i was running for 20:35 and after the stop it was 10:59. On the last little section before we got home i tried to work harder and so i went faster.
It ws a bit of a pitty about the stop but it was still a good run : )

Wednesday May 21

cycling (Cycle class at the gym) 45:00 [4]
I went with mum to the gym again. It was a good tough session and i tried to push myself. I think the girl that took it today does good sessions. We did sprints, hills, and a long track. I worked up a fair bit of a sweat.
I realised after i had set my bike up that i was sitting behind a man that somehow always manages to make his bike move around the floor, so that was a bit annoying but other than that it was good : )

Tuesday May 20

Netball (Training at Charlestown) 1:00:00 [4]
We first did some drills and i learnt a new one. We then pkayed a game of tag and we played a half game while waiting for the team we were to be playing to arrive. We played the under 14's rep team. It started to get dark and they didn't put the lights on so it was a bit hard to see but we won!! We played a pretty good game against them. I was C, WA and WD. It was a fairly good training session : )

Before we actually started training we did a run aroung all of the courts followed by a stretch. It was an easy run with a fair bit of talking involved : )

Sunday May 18

Orienteering race (Ophir Diggings) 51:46 [5] **** 3.6 km (14:23 / km) +120m 12:20 / km
Fairly dissappointed with this run. I should've done it so much quicker. I learnt that i really need to read my control discriptions fully because i took a while on a leg that i shouldn't have because of it. I was a bit behind on all of my legs which tells me i need to work harder. I need to learn how to push myself. Wish i had done better.

It was also soooo cold at the start. My toes were sore because of the mixture of the freezingness of the weather and the smallness of my shoes but when i started my course i forgot about it and it went away : )

Dad and i went to the start together. We jogged and walked then jogged and walked. It was fairly hilly on the way to the start so it was a pretty good warm up.

Saturday May 17

Orienteering race (Kahli's Rocks) 30:59 [5] **** 2.7 km (11:29 / km) +100m 9:41 / km
I was pretty happy with my run. My course only had a small section in the rocks at the start which was lucky and it wasn't too difficult. It was a good course i thought but i should've pushed myself. I had one or two small mistakes where i was just on the wrong side of things but i was pretty happy : )

Dad and i ran and walked to the start together but because there was no clothing return and it was so cold i was running up and down the track a few times aswell.

Thursday May 15

cycling (Cycling class at the gym) 30:00 [4]
I went with mum to the gym and did this class. The lady that took it today wasn't as good i didn't think. The class wasn't as good either but i still worked hard. My legs were hurting during it too : )
Gym (Cardio Camp class at gym) 30:00 [4]
Before this class started mum and I fiddled around on a few of the free gym machines.
Then the class started and we warmed up with skipping. We then moved onto doing a circuit which consisted of boxing, ladders, squats on the bosu ball, stepping with weights, and medicing balls things. There was also skipping, skipping, skipping and more skipping. So much skipping!!!
We also played a game where you have to touch the other peoples knees. It was wierd and gross because i was playing against mum and her arms were SOOOO sweaty. Ewwww!!!!! : )

Wednesday May 14

Swimming (Swimming at Kurri Pool) 52:00 [3]
IO did 10 sets of 6 laps. I am not sure how long they took me or how long i was actually swimming for though. I had breaks in between for however long i wanted. Josh and i had a lane to ourselves and then we got invaded but a family of four. Josh moved lanes and i stayed. A bit later a group came and left all of the people that were trying to swim with only 2 lanes.It sucked. But i still got all of my laps done : )

Tuesday May 13

Netball (Training at Charlestown.) 1:00:00 [3]
To start we warmed up and did the normal stretches and passes then we got into groups and did some drills. They were like ball skills and reflexes. After a while of doing that we then played a geme against another team that was training at the same time. They are in a lower grade than us but it was still good. We then had a little team chat.
We're all good at that : )

Monday May 12

cycling (Gym cycle class) 45:00 [4]
For training today i had to choose to do something that i didn't have to use my arms for (because of stupid needles at school, one in each arm!!!!) and the cycling class is always good so i chose that .Today was the first time i had had this instructor. He was very good and i think today was the hardest we had to work. I worked very hard and my legs felt very sore for most of the duration of the 45minutes : )

Sunday May 11

Running (A run aroung Maitland) 20:41 [3]
Me and dad went to pick mum up from the gym and Mum came with me to do a little run around maitland. I felt good running. Mum and dad are always telling me that i need to keep my shoulders down and relaxed when i run. It just feels wierd to me though when i do. The only bad thing running today was those silly little bugs that are like invisible but they always seem to go in your face...grrr. : )

Saturday May 10

Netball race (Game at Charlestown) 45:00 [4]
We had the full team there again today so everyone got i quarter off. I played WD for i quarter and WA for the other two. It was a fairly close game and we won by three goals. I don't know what the actual score was though.
Once again I have blisters on my toes : (
Warm up + Warm down (Before netball) 15:00 [1]
We did the same warm up stuff. Running up the court and passing drills, folled by a half game. We didn't do a warm down though :} Probably should've but my legs are ok now so it didn't really matter.

Friday May 9

cycling (Cycle class at the gym) 45:00 [3]
Went to a cycle class with mum at Genesis gym. I think i worked the hardest i have ever worked in a cycle class before (well that was the most i have ever sweated : ) ) I enjoyed it. I hadn't been to the gym in a while so it was good to go again : )

Thursday May 8

Running race (Zone Crosscountry) 15:00 [4] 3 km (5:00 / km) vdot: 37.0
Went to walka water works for School Zone crosscountry today. I don't know what time i did so i just estimated. I came 8th in my age group which means i get to go through to regional. Only just though. I wanted to catch this girl infront of me, she would walk and then sprint when you got close to her..grrr. Oh well, i am happy with my efforts and am looking forward to my next run. : )

Just did a little jog with my friend before and after cross-country. Not too much of a warm up and down but i still did it : )

Tuesday May 6

Netball (Just training) 1:00:00 [3]
We learnt a new drill that the swifts did. It's a good drill. We then had a little half game and did other things while we waited for another team that was training at the same time to come over to our court and play against us.
It was good : )

We ran aroung all of the courts once to warm up but we didn't so a warm down : } Oh well. I am fine now so it didn't matter too much. : )

Monday May 5

Swimming (At Kurri Kurri Pool) 45:00 [3]
I did 10x6 laps interval thingos of a 25m pool at my own pace. I had a rest in between each one. I am unsure of how long i was there though. I liked it.

Sunday May 4

Orienteering race (Newcastle club event) 28:58 [4] 2.4 km (12:04 / km)
I did the long orange to day. It wasn't much longer but oh well. I didn't make any mistakes but i was just a bit iffy on the last one because of the track i was on but it was right. I was pretty happy. I wanted to get under 10 minute km's but maybe next time i will.
I was SUPER happy that there were no spiders today!!! : ) : )

I ran up to the start before my course but i didn't think i should put that, lol. I did do a little warm down run up the track with dad after my run though.
I talked the whole way about how i went lazer shooting yesterday though so i think dad won't offer to do a warm down run with me again. He may as well have just been there he heard so much about it!! : )

Saturday May 3

Netball (Was a game at Charlestown) 45:00 [5]
I played 3 quarters, everyone got to have a quarter off this week! We won, 48-16. It was a fun game. I played WD for one quarter and WA for the other two.
Warm up + Warm down warm up/down (Warm up for netball.) 15:00 [2]
We did a few warm up things up and down the court. Then we stretched and then did some ball drills. After we then played a half court game.

Thursday May 1

Running (Hills with Hans) 40:00 [4]
WE did hills and it was hard!! After the warm up and stretch we got told to do 7 of the BIG hills and 8 of the littler hills. I only did 5 of the BIG hills and 7 of the littler hills though because i was exhausted :(
It was tough!!

Warm up + Warm down (Before and After the hill) 20:00 [3]
We did 10 minutes warm up before the HARD hills and 10 minutes at the end. The warm up and warm down felt soo good because we didn't have to go on hills during them. :)
Stretching (Before and After the hill) 10:00 [3]
We did about 5 minutes stretching after the warm up and about 5 minutes after the warm down. I was tight during the stretching because of the "overstretching" the day before at dancing :(
