Orienteering 56:12 [3]

NOY 5 at Stanford Scrubs.
I can never feel like i orienteer well on this map so the pouring rain didn't really help, especially when it made the tracks super slippery. First two controls i was happy with, but then when there was less to navigate off i struggled. Lost like 6 minutes on number 5 i think, i wanted to practise my bearings and decided to go straight, however the green was really hard to decipher and ended up having to go in to the control from the track anyway after messing around for a bit. Thought i improved a bit more towards the end though and i picked up my flow and pushed myself a bit more, only to be stumped by the last control in the wrong spot. Luckily i didn't spend quite as much time there as mum on her course, but i was thankful to find it!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Not going to lie it was a pretty tough warm up. Around King Edward park. Warm up was about 14minutes and the warm down was a bit slack, we were doing some jogging for some video footage (thanks guys).

Running hills 20:00 [3]

Awesome hills session at King Edward with Macey, Angus, Sal, and Kazza. It was tough! Long hills first with jogging down recovery, i did 4. The first one was just under a minute but I dont think i got any of the others that fast. I think number 3 was around 1:10. Then short hills, four again for me. Im not too sure how long they were, maybe like 20 seconds? Started them all with angus and he really made me push myself to try to keep up. He smashed the last one though, i had no hope! So good doing hills with people, i love group sessions! :)
I forgot to stop my watch so im not really sure how long to log this for though...

Running 27:00 [3]

Unfortunately i had a school thing from 8 - 6:30, it's starting to rule my life! But it meant i had to go to the gym and run on the treadmil. I did about 16 minutes, cycled in between, and did another 10. It was all at either 5min/km or under so for running on the treadmil thats alright with me.

On one of those lay-back kind of bikes, it was so strange!

Running 42:30 [3]

About a 10 min warm up. Super nice to have extra company of Amy-lee! :)

Then terrain ints around the loop near my house. 3 min, 2min, 90sec, 60sec, 30sec. Think they went alright, my ankle was a little touchy at times when my foot was flexed on sticks and that.

Then a 15 min ish warm down.

Note
(rest day)

Eurgh. This week is ridiculous. I had to be up at 4:30 for a train to sydney today, and i didnt get home untill 8:30 so unfortunately it was a rest day. Friday's worrying me too, I have to be at school at 8 and don't get home at 6:30 at the earliest. Year 12 is a pain right now!

Strength + Conditioning 30:00 [3]

Unfortunately my ankle is not feeling too good... I went for a walk with mum for about 40 minutes, i was hoping to be able to run once it warmed up but it just wasn't to be. It's not bruised or anything so i'm thinking thats a good thing but im a bit confused as to why it's still tender.

But anyway after the walk we did two sets of about a 15min strength session and that was worth logging i thought.
