Found yself with nine hours to kill in rainy Copehnagen with my bag and an urge to train. Then came the greatest idea i've had in a long while - I signed up for a trial day at the gym! An easy jog with some surges after each 15mins. Turns out surges aren't the easiest thing to do on a treadmill...
COL intervals. Legs felt pretty tired from yesterday so i didn't feel very fast to start with and the hills around Safjället didn't really help me. Someone would choose a 1, 2 or 3 min interval until we had done 24min of effort time. Ended up being 2, 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 2. A nice training regardless of how i felt!
15 ish warm up and down. Calves were feeling real tight after!
Running intervals 36:55 [3]
A pretty tough loop for intervals. Quite hilly and there was no real break on the downhills because it was so steep. 6 x 1.05km loops, and my rests were just over 1 min because i wanted to at least start with the group each time. Times got a bit slower by the end, i think i started slacking off on the flat section. The 4th was woeful! Happy to have done the 6 though, felt much better than last week!
Long run in änggårdsbergen with Viktoria. Fab company so the time went really quick! I still get surprised how hilly it is there. Legs were a little stiff at the start but they were alright during, the top of my knee got a little sore at the end though. Apparently it's strangely warm at the moment for this time of year... Worrying because for one i think it's very cold, and two because i'm rooting for snow and it's too likely it might not happen!
