Bit of a shocker of a way to finish the races... Lost alot of time in the beginning with mistakes and i lost all urgency towards the end. Overall it was a super fun camp and super fun races, but i'm pretty bummed about how i went. I know i hadn't done alot of speed work but i didn't quite realise how crazy far behind i'd be! And i dont think a whole lot of how I was feeling can be blamed on jetlag!
Not too bad until I slipped into a pit of blackberry bushes and had to get pulled out. Lost a solid 1:30-2minutes which was super super super frustrating! I guess it's lucky i was in the mass start though because if nobody else was around it could've been a while longer... Really fun sprint though! I just need to read the fine details more and be a bit more disciplined with my direction
Felt best about this urban sprint compared to the others this week. Really concentrated on my planning and it went alright. Slowed alooooott in the second half though, it's bad :|
Warm up.
3km time trial with a twist, relatively ok with but i struggled to push harder.
Then a little jogging and the PISTE test which i thought was really fun. 400m sprint while remembering where 4 controls were on a map with 4 controls and then you had to draw the controls on a blank map after.
Warm down.
Started off navigating ok but i just did not feel like i was in control at all when we got into super tricky bits. Got really exhausted by the end too.
Warm up, 3km time trial and warm down. Didn't really have any clue what so ever what i should expect to run this in but kinda hoped for a bit faster still. Think i started off a bit too slow and didn't have the speed to make up time. Plus i could taste breakfast. And i had 4 hrs sleep the night before. Plenty of chance to improve i guess!

Running warm up/down 21:00 [3]
Orienteering (Sprint Canberra race 1) 19:49 [3]
A bit sloppy with my navigation for the whole race and i just had no energy. The heat plus the severe lack of sleep the night before didn't leave me feeling very good!
Jog with dad from home. Actually found it noticeably harder to breathe from the hot, humid air. Legs felt a lot better today but it was warm and super uncomfortable. Shorter than planned but I wanted to ease into the acclimatising for at least one day before camp!
Home at 2am, awake and unpacking my bags at 7 because I couldn't sleep. Feeling pretty tired and my legs felt super lethargic and fat all day. Actually makes me feel a little sick thinking about how many layers I was running in in Sweden when it's so hot here!!
