Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Running intervals 16:00 [3]

Was in Newcastle to pick up the race pack for the itrail tomorrow so did some short intervals around the Newy Parkrun course. 6x1min efforts every three minutes. Hip flexors and hammies are still pretty tight but they warmed up ok. ish. Felt a little off in the stomach for a few of the surges but i think it was just from working hard when I was a bit hungry beforehand. It was so so muggy!

Easy with mum from Merewether beach up to King Edward park and back. A bad case of träningsvärk from yesterday! Pretty warm out too so finishing at the beach was tops.

Netball 30:00 [3]

My legs felt so so heavy and slow and unco, but it was a win from the Angels! Woo! Half GK half GD, enjoyed it.

Jog to the gym, and then a (significantly slower) jog home from the gym.

Took this week's rest/whatever week of training as a good opportunity to see what the fuss was about with the new gym that opened up near home. Got myself a two week trial and today was a circuit type class. A heap of power and agility was involved and my body is not very powerful or agile so I was shaking from about 5 minutes in. Also think I may have been sweating more than the entire class combined so I don't really know what was up there. Not really sure if it'd fit into a proper training program too well but it was fun to try, hard work!

Orienteering race 43:57 [3]

A bit of a shaky start getting used to a new scale, drifted way too far to the right and was super hesitant. Came good until I saw Tash and we messed 6 kinda bad, and then I took the bad route to 7 and overran the control and she was gone. From then on I started to get pretty tired and was a bit too sloppy, even did a bit of a 10 year old and ran past my 17 to the next gully because I could see a control... Lost 3 places in the last 4 controls, oops! Still feel better about it than yesterday, and still love the area!
