Running long 1:05:00 [3]

I realized after we started that this was my 4th hr+ run in 3 days... whoa... haha We tried "trail blazing" it worked until we saw the posted sign and the coach told us we couldn't go if he was there and he wasn't about to leave us. Anyway, we ended up doing a rather half assed run for 20 min. We went to these cliffs, stopped (idk why...) then turned around and went back. I was kinda upset with the really slow pace so I led. Almost lost the group... once we got to the road, though, The coach and I picked up the pace (prob 7min/mile) and ran the 15 minutes back to school. I felt really good during that part. When we got back we ran 3 laps around the track doing strides on the straights and jogging the curves. I was first done because i was jogging faster than everyone else...

Orienteering 1:25:00 [3] 7.4 mi (11:29 / mi)

Blue again on sunday. Didn't wana go because I was sore from the WHNO and because my camping pad deflated during the night so my back was stiffer than a board. But i went out... 1,2, and 3 were ok. 4=bad. 5=ehhh. 6 was ok. 7, lucky. 8,9,10... meh... 11 was good. Lost my punchcard on the way to 12 (holder broke). 13 to end were ok. But I still felt slow and wasn't reading on the run like i should...

Orienteering race 1:25:00 [3] 7.4 mi (11:29 / mi)

cruddy race at pawtuckaway. bad first half... but i did awesome on the second half.

Orienteering (WHNO) 1:51:00 [3]

Better than last year! It was just REALLY foggy instead of REALLY rainy... haha. I was stoaked, though, because 10 minutes before JJ gives his talk saying he wont look for you until dawn, John Fredrickson showed up! That really was awesome. I now know he's alive. What is better is that after the second control (#1) he and I were together for the rest of it. It was a score O this year without a time limit. 2,1,3 was obvious then we had a really annoying choice. either 5,4,6,7 or 4,6,5,7. It was not cool, sucked actually. But we managed. We were the 4th and 5th in (i think) who finished the whole thing. But we were still soaked to the bone, just like last year. And then, unfortunately, JF was gone just as quickly as he had come...

Running 35:00 [3]

Fun run. we were running down the road and saw apples. So naturally, we decided to take some and then attack JV. We hid along the side of a trail and got 2 freshmen, except they saw us a mile away. After that (out of apples, most of us) we used milk week pods and had a similar battle, just between us, though. Eventually we found another apple tree so got more apples then charged a stop sign which we always slap as we run by (it's a tradition). It got pelted with a good number of apples, half rotten apples, and milkweed pods. Good times.

Running 10:00 [3]

annoying running drills. Strides and such.

Running 45:00 [3]

Running 10:00 [5]

Started with 6 strides. Then... well John, Brice, and Zach decided to run an ab workout. 30 second reps of ab stuff with 10 push ups in between. The push ups were no problem, but I definitely was feeling my abs at the end.

Running race 19:50 [4] 5.0 km (3:58 / km)

Good race. Managed to catch then stay with a friend of mine from the team. He started to pull away during the last mile and finished around 10 seconds ahead of me. I ran really hard, but strangely, just a minute after I had fished and walked around, I was feeling good enough to jog around (which I did). Then took a dip in the lake 20 yards away, VERY refreshing.

Running tempo 1:00:00 [3]

10 min warm up then did 4 reps of a short, 1 mileish, loop the coach made up. I went slow because my calves shouldn't still be hurting but eventually I said to hell with it and just went for it. My calves are still sore...
