Friday Jan 15

Nordic 30:00 [1]

Thursday Jan 14

Nordic (Classic) 57:35 [3] 8.3 km (6:56 / km)

Wednesday Jan 13

Nordic race 16:56 [4] 5 km (3:23 / km)

Really fun race (for me). Almost perfectly flat so there was no rest. I did V2 Alternate for the whole thing and was a second behind the fastest kid from my school and a minute back from the winners (two brothers who tied, except I doubt they went all out). I was fifth overall. One of the kids from my teach was asking me if I did any pushups after practice to which I replied "no". He says he can't sustain V2 Alternate very long which makes me wonder why I can. I am guessing it has something to do with my leg muscles which are likely more powerful due to my background in hockey. I am also confident my arms are stronger than his because of the volume of training I did pre-season.

Nordic warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Mostly just skiing around after the race. I just felt really really good and my skis were wicked fast so it was quite enjoyable to ski. Seemingly effortless.

Tuesday Jan 12

Nordic 45:00 [3]

V2 practice, mass start practice, double pole transitions.

Monday Jan 11

Nordic 1:30:00 [3]

Long ski. skied the race course from saturday to get a more accurate measure, then skied around a bit. Eli taught the more advanced skiers a new V1 technique after going over specific stuff with some of us. I ended practice by skiing Ridge Road for Eli so he could get the distance to use it for races. 305 is coming in handy!
