GC 1:36:10 [3] 20.64 km (4:40 / km)

Long ski to prep for next weekend. This area is much hillier than the course I will race on, so It shouldn't actually be all that bad. My goal is to do the race (25k) in under 90 min. 100 would still be satisfactory, but over 2 hours will be very upsetting.
Nordic 19:44 [3] 7 km (2:49 / km)
Pursuit race. fun fun! Started off about 4k classic. Not sure what my time was for that loop but I was fifth at the changeover. Only the top 40 get to move on. After the 4k classic, everyone (in the top 40) switches to skate. You can either skate on your classic skis, change boots, change poles, or any combination. I just switched poles and skis (had to borrow a pair of skate skis with NNN bindings). I suffered in the skate section, though. I just took way too long to adjust to the motions of skate. I finished 12th overall, though, 15 seconds behind our top skier (who was 20 or 30 seconds back at the changeover). Unfortunately, I did lose 7 places in the skate section. Pretty sure this was due, in large part, to fatigue. I was having trouble balance and fell going around a sharp corner costing me 1 place (which I probably would have lost anyways).

Worked a lot on V2 Alternate ( :D ). Practice long glides and getting my hands up real high. It was tough because the snow was real hard so my skis would slide around a little (threw me off balance a few times). It was good, though. did 4 or 5 loops (3-4 req).
