High-speed running in Pitäjänmäki sporttrack.

"Legendary" 2km "test run" in Pitäjänmäki sport track. While I was a kid in elementary school we ran this test run every year. I was always the fastest one of my class so now after the sorry runs last weekend it was good time to relish those golden memories.. ;-)

I started a little slower but increased my speed all the time. It felt quite easy and fun. Some teenagers driving mopeds on the track disturbed my "concentration" a little

Same kind of race as on Saturday but with a little bit more mistakes. I was physically very soft and made about 3 minutes of mistakes. The last mistake was a 1 min mistake on the second last control I made just because I was too tired to concentrate properly.

I think it's time for me to start doing some faster trainings too to get some quickness in my feets for the AM-games..

For some reason I never perform well in Lahti-Suunnistus. I didn't make too many mistakes this time (about 1-1,5 mins) but was just totally out of shape. I had really stressful days at work after my trip so it might be just jet lag and that.. After the race I decided to stress less at work..

Running in Upper east side - Central park - Harlem.. It was a nice way to look around the city. I had to run across the 110th street for a couple of blocks just because of the song by Bobby Womack.. :)

Short and easy run. I was originally thinking about doing a proper training today but felt too tired and just turned back.

I'm leaving to New York tomorrow and am probably having a 2-3 day break in training.. For next Monday and Tuesday I have thought about scheduling myself some good long runs in the Central Park but however.. Wednesday I'm back in Finland again..

Orienteering in Swinghill. I was only semi-concentrated but didn't make much mistakes either.

At the end of the training I took some sprints on a path..

Lomg running between Leppävaara and Lintuvaara in the paths and roads. I felt quite tired and my legs were still hurting from the strength training.
