Tuesday Aug 12

PE (BODYPUMP CLASS) 45:00 [3]
Went to CISAC during PE and did a bodypump class - this is like aerobic exercises with weights and stuff.
Was good and did work on muscles etc but i wouldnt say it was exhausting. I did have trouble taking it seriously - i cant see why anybody would pay to follow a 40yr old gym instructor (who had occasional outbursts of "OOO!" and "YEAH!") to tell them how to lift a bar up and down, whilst listening to Pop remixes of Midnight Oil.
anyway im logging it as training because it was.

Monday Aug 11

Note
should have trained today
feeling guilty for not even planning to do something
watched the olympics for 30mins instead. watching them getting exhaused made me exhaused. so that can be my training :D
Orienteering 20:00 [2]
Orienteering in PE at school
No wonder people think orienteering is a joke!
2 out of 9 permanent control markers were actually in the right place, and we used the fire escape plan of the school as the map! wtf.
And this is the school that was world-class mapped for the oceania champs....
Was kinda fun anyway
Did it in pairs and my pair came second....
Now there is a running joke about how Nick Brealey (Gangsta child who spends more time checking his hair than he does doing everything else put together - also has short man syndrome) is better than me at orienteering and wtf am i doing representing ACT!??

Sunday Aug 10

Orienteering race (Badge Event) 1:25:00 [4] 9.7 mi (8:46 / mi)
was snowing when i started and i wasnt very focussed
stuffed the first two controls
took the next few slow
then sped up heaps keeping a really good pace and concentrating hard and not mucking up at all
on the way to the last control i tripped on a broken fence and fell on rocks in the dirt. i was already really cold so i just lay there feeling very sad and sorry for myself for almost a minute
then i realised the dirt was really wet and cold too.
so i got up and hobbled to the last control and then finished
over all happy, but a bit sore now, esp my knee which has a deflated golfball hanging off one side.
