Day 4; Long Pine Forest in the beginning, open grassland and once again Forest. Steep uphill to 1, tried to run to 2 downhill (still impossible due to my rib) small detour to 3, took the wrong road to 4, wrong route choice to 5, circled around 8, quite ok up to 16, then did not see the last control on the map, so disq. Too bad as i enjoyed the course !

Day 3; 2000m above Sealevel in a private estate: Sappi (Papierfabrik), first part in open grassland and logged places, then in pine forest with many boulders. Tough even to walk. Made three mistakes; wrong clearing with climbing through thick vegetation, not far enough to the next, and circled around and did not see the control. It was very hot today. Afterwards we had a delicious meal at a nice place on the way home.

After the old year party with our group and hosts and our wishes sent away into the sky we had our rest day. A visit to the Chimpanse Sanctuary and sitting and chatting in the shadow was the whole effort today. The green vegetation and the hills around Nelspruit is amazing, i did not expect such a place.

day 2 : mostly forest, some open parts, some difficult runnable parts due to undergrowth and dead log on the ground. 3 controls i circled arround, got stuck in a hole and needed help to come out. Quite hot today, i went very slow because my rib is still hurting. Feels more like Africa today.

Event: BIG 5 O Week
 

Day 1: Rain, Fog, and not like S'Africa but a very nice loop on and between the rocks. Did many detours but all the others also. It is so green up here and it feels like in Europe. Wild Horses on the way but they are very friendly.
