Bush Orienteering 50:00 [3]

Pairs Sprint Relay training activity at 'Bloomfield Park', Orange.
Worked hard for the first sprint. Was running with Bert's sister and spent time explaining our route, helping and encouraging her for the other sprints. She navigated one of the sprints, and did great. Really enjoyable activity. Loved it, and Bridget was great company and should get serious about orienteering!!!!!

Shadowed two juniors on a line course, making sure they were heading off with a plan, sticking to it, and simplifying. Great activity for them.

Bush Orienteering 40:00 [4]

'Lake Canobolas' park map, mass start score course.
Mmmmm, didn't take long to realise we were in for a cold few days!!
Great fun, and terrific way to start the camp, except we were unaware of the problems with the hot water in the girls showers!!!

Cycling 45:00 [4]

Pushed myself perhaps too hard tonight. Really tough but enjoyable class. The only one for this week - off to camp Orange.

Bush Orienteering 1:13:00 [4] 4.2 km (17:23 / km)

Local orienteering event at " Sugarloaf No.1" (map used day 5 of Xmas 5 days) - not one of our best maps to put it mildly. My result was comparibly OK, but was so messy at nearly every control and I personally wasn't happy with my run or run rate. One of the toughest courses physically I've ever done. OK route choices, although tackled a huge thick black lined cliff - and WON!!! With a crease in my map, I thought there was a way through, but was wrong - feel it was a real achievement to make it through safely. Very dangerous, but fun. Matt Westwood was following me through, and as I said part way up "There's no going back now." Looking forward to camp next week in ffrreeeeezzzzziinngg Orange temperatures.
