Running 20:00 [3]

Just a short one. Didn't feel too good though. Off to lil Nic's netball final.

Running 21:27 [3]

Ran with lil Nic around Ashtonfield in shocking weather conditions - wind and rain. Pleased with her for gutsy effort. Enjoyable!!

Cycling 45:00 [4]

Schwinn cycle class. Tough workout. Another full class with people turned away. Joshwa and lil Nic joined me so that was nice.

Gym 30:00 [3]

Half hour cardio class following the cycle. Fair bit of boxing and bit of upper body work - which i can certainly do with. Really enjoyed it although felt a strain in my hammy during class which bothered me. I continued, however I iced it when I got home and it's still quite tender. Might warm it up again later and give it a good stretch.

Cycling 30:00 [4]

Tried hard in this one.

Note

This is my one day off for the fortnight :-D Love it.

Running 30:00 [3]

Went power walking with the 'netball mums' while Nicola was at training. Twice during the hour when I knew where we were I ran ahead, and then back to meet them. Ended up about half hour of running. Tested the hammy a bit. Still sore, but not too sore that I couldn't run. Not sure what to do about it. I've always been of the opinion that things just get better, but seems that as you get older that isn't always the case!!!.

Bush Orienteering race 1:04:00 [3] 4.5 km (14:13 / km)

Newcastle OY Event; 'Little Burke's Creek'.
I enjoyed getting into the bush again; I guess it's only been 3 weeks, but that felt like ages. Lost quite a bit of time at No 2 in particular, and a lot of other smaller errors. The green has certainly extended since last map corrections which was a bugger and made run rates quite slow.
Couple of controls in wrong spot meant quite a few on red courses lost time searching. Josh's Garmin showed that for example for our last control, from when he arrived at where the control should have been, to when he actually found the misplaced control, was 3:20min.
Orienteering is always a great way to start Sundays.
