Cycling (Schwinn cycle class) 45:00 [4]

I knew if I didn't go to this class I probably wouldn't do any exercise today - just too hot. So the class was at 4:30, and the gym was really comfortable; air conditioning working a treat. Enjoyed it. Hard work but well worth the effort. Feel good now. :-)

Running 23:00 [3]

Achilles pretty tender today. Sitting at the computer without having my feet flat on the floor seems to aggravate them I decided today.
Anyway, just wanted to go for a short run, then give them and my hammies a good stretch. Even at 7.30 it was still so warm and humid running. Sweaty stuff.

Street Orienteering race (StreetO No.15) 44:45 [4] 8.1 km (5:31 / km)

'Bejewelled'
Pretty hilly area.
Ran hard up some hills, and then had to walk others. Felt really quite lethargic but I think that's just cause of the steepness, and I still ended up with an OK score. Had a stitch for a lot of the way which is pretty unusual.
My route: 2J 3F 1M 2H 1H 3D 2G 1F 3A 2D 1B 2C 1C 3C 2E 1D 1G
Started running along the track at 3A. Saw jr on his way back. His words "Mmm have fun getting through there" prompted me to climb the embankment to make my way around to 2D. Thanks jr :-)
Could have probably picked up 1E, but an OK route choice overall.
Distance seems bit short, but was so so hilly ;-)

Touch Footy race 40:00 [3]

Fun game tonight. Had another win 6 - 2. Managed to score another try, but failed to chase down a girl....really wanted to get her and was so close.

Cycling (Schwinn cycle class) 45:00 [4]

First Monday night class for over 2 months. Loved it.
The guy that takes it, John Pirlo, races, and sometimes he brings a scenario to the class.
Today, the scenario was as follows. I ride with the same group of 10 every Monday at 6:30, but I arrived 5 mins late and so had to make up that time. It involved a series of hills and flats, and had to work hard on the flats to make up more time. Didn't spot the other riders till the flat before the last hill. They didn't even know I was coming. Caught them on the last hill. The loser was to buy breakfast for the whole group so that wasn't going to be me. Was coming 4th at the start of the last flat. Could have eased off, but pushed hard til the end...................... see it's all with the power of the mind!
Really good class.
That scenario lasted for the entire 40 miins of hard work, so the class went really quick.

Running 32:23 [3]

First bit of exercise since mid week. Have spent a lot of the weekend watching lil Nic's touch team at the Hunter Champs tournament.

Think I'd have to go back quite a few weeks to find the last training run I've done from home. Actually, training runs are few and far between at all. Waited til 7:30 to leave. Enjoyed it, but I feel quite unfit at the moment.
