Running 39:58 [3] 7.94 km (5:02 / km)

Ran with MSNic to the gym. Really enjoyable. Nic is runing at a very nice pace these days. Distance with geodistance.com

Cycling (Schwinn class) 45:00 [3]

Following the run. After the first track I was thinking this was a mistake, but settled in nicely and worked pretty hard. Enjoyed the run more than the cycle class though.

Running 26:46 [3]

Ran with Nicola from King Edward Park after leaving Josh to battle the hills. Was so cold, so at least Josh can't say we're soft today; we did get out there!!!

Cycling (Schwinn class) 45:00 [4]

So cold here. .... OK so not really cold compared to other places in Aust!!! Was good to do something indoors.
Worked pretty hard, but it seemed to go quick tonight.

Gym (Body Blitz) 55:00 [3]

Same class as last week, but don't think I'll be near as sore this week. Lots of lunges which really hurt my knees. I've realised I really do have something wrong with my right knee. Even though some things in this class hurt it, I thought I'd be doing it good by maybe strengthening the muscles around it. Not so sure now.
Love the tummy and arm stuff. So good for me.

Park Orienteering (QBIII Day3) 26:00 [3] 2.9 km (8:58 / km)

Sprint O at Newcastle Uni
Just loved it; wish I'd had more success.
Felt great for the first 9, then stuffed 10. Just followed the wrong path and ended up in a set of buildings too low. Relocated, then went to 13 before 12....Hey I bet my split for #13 is good second time there!!
Compared splits with Grant McD and was heading for maybe a 20 min run on earlier splits, but once again, Karen starts to think about how she's going. My thoughts today were that I was improving at Sprints as I'm getting older because I can't run as fast now. Then look what happens.
So much want to have a great run here one day. Love the map, and loved the course.
Overall had a really enjoyable weekend. Dawsons and McDonalds were great company at 11 Airlie Street. Was great to catch up with so many people.
I think Newc Orienteering Club members should feel very proud after such a successful weekend. Congratulations to our NSW Schools team, and to the Junior Squad in general. All have worked so hard and it's great to be a part of such a wonderful group of kids. Brought tears to my eyes this arvo to see the joy on so many faces.

Bush Orienteering (QBIII Day2) 1:11:00 [3] 6.8 km (10:26 / km)

Disappointed with today's run, and very surprised to still get second after making my errors. I think I've been running on 'Southam's Road' map recently, and become very familiar with my control placement, so even checking controls yesterday didn't involve much close navigating. Hence, I started today's run with lazy navigation. Wasn't concentrating enough until about #5. First control was a long track run, and I tried to run it hard. Then did a complete 180 heading to #2. Ran an extra km and lost 5 mins. Made other errors during the course. Tried to push hard when on tracks. Happy with some parts. Enjoyed it.
