Cycling (Schwinn class) 45:00 [4]

Worked hard.
I was feeling relieved when the instructor said "OK this is the last working track" ..... then to finish the sentence though ....."it's 9 minutes!!!!" :(
It did however involve my favourite intervals: turn the dial up hard for 30 secs standing, then same pressure for 20-30 secs seated, then release for 20 secs ... repeated that 8 times. Each time we stood the intensity was to be a bit harder. Love it!!

Street Orienteering (Beresfield StreetO) 48:00 [4]

So I missed yet another StreetO on Wednesday.
Decided to take StK66's map and treat it like the real thing.Gave myself 1 minute to plan my route, then off I went.
Came back a bit late, but feel great for makng the effort. Been a long time between races this year.
My route was: 2A 1A 3C 1B 2B 1D 1C 3A 2C 3B 1E 2D 1G 3D 1J 3F 2F 3G 1R
Not sure that it was worth the effort for 2C and 3B.
Certainly didn't have much bounce in me today. Sore calves now after the road running - and of course no warm up or cool down!!!
Plan to use some of the other StreetO maps I've missed out on this season.

Lots of short tracks and intervals.

Running 42:00 [3]

Ran from home.
Was spitting very light rain for only part of the way. Really nice running conditions.
I always seem to enjoy that first run after I've been orienteering a few days in a row. Feel a bit lighter, or bouncier or something. I do however notice the difference running on hard surfaces makes on the body.
