Bush Orienteering (O'Shea) 1:30:00 [4] 5.0 km (18:00 / km)

O'Shea "Yambo"
Partnering Nicola in the Long Pairs relay.
For the first bush run of the season IT WAS SO STEEP, SO SCRUBBY and pretty hot.
Disappointed with my run. Had some good legs but made some errors and ended up walking a lot because of the scrubiness and steepness.
Tough navigation, and physically very strenuous.
8 PM

Night Orienteering (OShea) 37:40 [3] 4.4 km (8:34 / km)

O'Shea "Bateau Bay"
Night line course.
Heaps of fun.
So funny. The first leg was along a minor track from a park through some bush and about four local guys had hid in the bushes only 50m into the bush. As Nic and I got close they jumped out and yelled to scare us. Gave them HUGE delight as we both SCREAMED so loud. Haha.
Pretty pleased with my run.
Dropped my pencil at #4 and spent tooo long looking for it. Couldn't find it so carried on, and most pleasingly was able to remember the next 7 control answers (pairs of letters).
Couldn't find a minor track in the bush which would have led me to #8. Just bashed through the bush up to the road, and then came back down the track to the control, so lost a bit of time here.
So pleased not to roll an ankle. My "Steven Todkill" ankle guards gave me blisters in the morning, so opted to just wear different runners tonight and they weren't too bad.
Thanks heaps Central Coast Organisers for a great day.
Looking forward to tomorrow, and some of Joshy's winning cake ...... can't see myself scoring one this year!!

Cycling 40:00 [3]

Got to the class a bit late but luckily they let us in.
Found it tough tonight...... maybe that's just cause it's Friday..

Park Orienteering (ParkO #1) 23:46 [4] 4.5 km (5:17 / km)

"Speers Point Park"
Nice little map. Simple navigation but such good fitness training for me. Think I was certainly tiring towards the end.
Such fun. Thanks Glenness

Running 45:00 [3]

Ran with girlfriend from her place in West Albury down to Noreuil Park and along river. So nice.
Few memories - through the park where a little joshy once had a birthday party, and then on the track where little joshy had some of his first bike rides without training wheels, complete with Red Ted strapped to the handle bars :) haha cute
