Running 20:42 [3]

Ran from home to test the knee and measure to see if it is swelling following exercise.
Felt no different running to what it has done the last few weeks so that's good I guess.
The test will be to see how much pain I'm in this evening now.
Yesterday I was at Regional XC from 7.30am til about 2 pm and the whole time was standing - wonder whether that was what triggered the pain yesterday.
Anyway I have an appointment 7 am Wednesday morning with physio so I'll keep assessing til then.
I feel like my body's just starting to fall apart :(

Running 30:07 [3]

A test for my knee. It's been quite a while since I hurt it and even though it's felt OK some days it hasn't got better yet. In fact yesterday and today it has been really bothering me the majority of the time. Can't even sit with my legs crossed and can feel a tender spot. Sitting down, I can't straighten my knee without sliding my foot slowly along the floor and even then it's very painful. Started to jog from home and it was quite painful so I thought I'd head off the hard surface and see if that was better. Just went to the bush track close by and ran there for a bit.
Tried to get a physio appointment but seems you have to wait so long to get into anyone and my main man is heading overseas on Sunday for a month.
I think the fact I have an infected toenail on the same leg isn't helping cause I'm not running properly on that foot, but certainly feel I may have done something that I need to get fixed.
Nice running conditions though.

Ran from home.
Rained for the first half. Was quite pleasant once I'd pushed myself out the door.
Glad I made the effort.
Didn't have my watch, but know it was about half hour.

Just ran on treadmilll before cycle class. Felt good, although who wouldn't knowing you've only got 10 mins to pick up the pace and work up a sweat?

Worked hard right from the start.

After cycle class. Didn't feel as difficult tonight.

Enjoyed the course.
Had no hesitation tackling the long red today as I certainly knew I should be fresh with such a busy week and little training.
Felt pretty good running. Ankles slow me down in this stuff quite a bit.
Navigated OK. Few time wasting efforts making route choice decisions and then in the circle, especially at #6, #7, #10. With #5 I found some tape where I thought I'd find the control, but it was much further down the gully - actually felt like the next gully but that's probably just me. I expected #6 to be closer to the track and then I went into the green looking for # 7 but couldn't find it so came back out to the track. Turns out I just didn't go far enough. Slow to make my way up the hill to the last control :(
Used track options a bit today, especially after struggling through thick stuff when I felt like running !!!!

Note

Collected 7 controls afterwards, so effectively I guess I did a very rare warm down :)
