Park Orienteering (Pairs Event) 19:34 [3]

So if you've read STK66 log you'll know that we ended up as partners - so that would be because we were late getting there, and of course I couldn't partner anyone else not knowing whether I was going to make it to the event or not!!! ;)
Was a mass start for everyone else, but Russ and I just started about 15 mins later. Ran the 1.2km line course then had a small wait for Russ before we distributed the score course controls. Probably didn't do this very well but I also wasted time at my last control - silly duffa!!!
Really enjoyable format and terrific afternoon.
Nice feeling to get out and run straight after several hours travelling in car and plane. Thanks Geoff and Margaret.

Street Orienteering (StreetO #4) 45:36 [3]

"Caves beach"
Didn't have very good route choice and Shouldnt have made myself late. Bit disappointing really. Good training.
Think I missed the ten points closest to the start/finish!!

Street Orienteering (CC StreetO) 1:00:00 [4]

Was always going to be a good course with "2010 NSW Course Setter of the Year" in charge!!! ......well done Nick Dent :)
Struggled in the heat. Felt like I was going to vomit after about half hour - just the heat though - so slowed down, walked a bit as well :(
Tough conditions; plenty of route decisions to make; great atmosphere. Was very hobbly on my toe at the start and certainly after I'd finished. Improvement with it seems to be at a standstill.
Really enjoyable morning and certainly made me run on a day when if I was at home I'd have probably just spent in the pool :)
Thanks Nick and Hilary.
