| Rode to my orthodontist appointment. some of it was really easy but going back up the hill that is campbell at the end was hard work. I was quite terrified by the prospect of magpies so i feel pretty brave now for going out and facing my fear :P only one swooping (haha beat u rob) Actually does it still count if you don't actually get hit? still would have got my heart going faster than it was during any of the ride :P
I have the weirdest news about bruno. nomi and i have discussed it. she thinks it's a coincidence. i don't know. yesterday morning (as in the first morning after the week of nationals) he was wayyy sorer than he had been the whole time! running a few steps hurt a lot. weirdd. still not great either though better than yesterday. a theory: psychologically i didn't want it to hurt for the races so it didn't? nah seems way too farfetched. | ||

| pretty awesome. i actually didn't think my run was that great i felt like i could have gone much faster in some bits and there was a little wiggle on one of the later controls. didn't navigate especially well, wasn't always in contact, but it was moderate nav so it didn't matter. somehow got fastest leg time by over a minute and our team won! :D | ||

| almost ran past first control. oops! two other very small mistakes that would have lost say 5 to 10 seconds each. Came 3rd. didn't actually feel like i was running that fast considering the fact that it was 1.6 km! | ||

| goood run no real mistakes though could feel how i'd lost fitness from a couple of months ago. 4th fastest split a few seconds behind lilian and half a minute behind krystal! that was pretty cool.
but most importantly we came FIRST!!! woot woot! it was especially good coz noone expected us to win, including us. awesome finish chute me and nomi with the flag running in thongs behind belinda, struggling to keep up! | ||

| almost as terrible as aus individuals!!! if that is even possible. i was very disappointed. lost at least 15 mins of mistakes. 12th (8th australian) could have done soooo much better. | ||

| yayayay!!!!!!!
my ouchy foot is due to an inflamed joint that I must have jarred. It will get better with rest, however running on it for nationals won't extend the time it takes to heal, so I'm all in the clear!!! I've now got anti-inflammatory tablets that should make it hurt less, and have been told to ice it after running if it's sore :D meanwhile I have arthritis in my big toes!!! hehe i'm sooo old. but it's ok it's not like they hurt :P also, the stress reactions they found in my legs (both sides!) are not really anything to worry about coz they're not big and haven't been painful. although one was a bit sore a couple of wks ago that probs means it's already starting to heal as i haven't been running. apparently asymptomatic stress reactions don't always become stress fractures so it should be fine. QUEENSLAND HERE I COME!!!!!! except i'll be really slow from not training at all for 5 wks. sigh. oh well. | ||

| ok so had bone scan yesterday and got a report thing this morning... don't really have any idea what exactly it means which is really annoying! seems to be a few little problems maybe but nothing huge? really i have no idea. i shall give more information after my appointment on monday! does anyone know the real difference between a stress reaction and a stress fracture? | ||

| woooo!!!! i went traininggg. sooo nice to have a map in my hands again :) me and nome went together and took turns navigating while saying where we were and what we were expecting to see etc. it was funn. nice and laid back and war cries and flying with our arms out and such.
bruno was pretty good (bruno is my foot - nomi named him.) he was a little complainy at the start then got good for the rest. a tiny bit worse now but not anything to worry about i don't think. meanwhile my legs are all red and dotty coz i wore knee length tights. grr. it was quite thick and scratchy with something i'm possibly a bit allergic to. i'm sometimes allergic to grass :P | ||

| gah went to sports doctor pretty much did what physio did but wrote out a thing so i can get an MRI.
BUT the MRI places are booked out til we go away. sooo i dunno. mum called back sports doctor to see if there's another option so we're waiting to hear from him. sighhh . meanwhile i am definitely in a homework hole. a huuugeee one that i can't get out of. and it's not getting any shallower. | ||

| i've been sick but i'm pretty much better now. had a feverrr and headache and sore throat and coughing and almost lost my voice on a couple of days. it was not pleasant. now i'm reaally behind on homework coz i didn't do any the whole wkend (like i wasn't already). i think i'm in a homework hole. physio and probly sports doctor too tomorrow. joy. | ||

foot still not better sorta different now. also today have had sorta sore shin :S i guess coincidental that it's the same leg. hopefully. yucky cold yesterday headache all over ache painful coughing blueurgh today just yucky sounding cough that hurts even more. soo much assessment >-> soo not cool. i still wanna cross train but in addition to the reasons i gave below i have now also realised it is magpie swooping season. i have magpie-phobia. i'm gonna have to walk most of the courses in qld. if i'm even allowed to do them :@ | ||
