Orienteering race (Foxlow Flats) 1:04:27 [3] 6.1 km (10:34 / km) +215m 8:59 / km
(injured)
Pretty good though not that fast. After having a whole lot of shocking runs in the last few months it's good to have some decent ones! Still, a couple of minor wobbles, including when I got to the right area on the second control and found a boulder but there was no control. I kept looking til I found it a bit further up the hill, but afterwards John Harding, who found it at about the same time as me, said that it had been put on the rocky ground not the boulder, and that i'd been looking at the right one originally - hopefully he was right coz that would mean that I actually went to the right spot! Unfortunately my foot/ankle started hurting again which is a bit of a worry, with cc nationals in 2 wks... Not sure if it really counts as being injured but oh well.

Orienteering race (black mt.) 41:56 [3] 5.3 km (7:55 / km)
quite good generally, no big time wasters. not much to say really... my foot/ankle started hurting at the end, probly due to the fact that my shoe was almost falling off coz my laces had come undone... but it's my fault for not taping them so i can't complain :P

Note
(rest day)
rest day! in other news, i'm definitely going to dickson college. hopefully it'll all work out good. otherwise, as well as being annoyed w myself, and not liking school, my mum wont be able to stop saying i told you so!!! and that could start a two year ongoing argument ...

Running (To training) 15:00 [3]
Running warm up/down (warm up) 10:00 [3]
Running 30:00 [3]
around the lake but not on the path, through the sculpture garden etc.
Running (the last bit) 10:00 [3]
back to regatta point. tried to finish strongly.
Running warm up/down 3:00 [3]
holding hands with nomi for a warmdown. i decided that holding hands with someone while u run must be good for keeping ur hand still while holding a map so u can read it better. not so sure this is the most logical theory ever but oh well :P

felt really sluggish for the first halfish of all this, hehe kept saying i wanted to walk. got better though. stops in between getting there and warm up, warm up and starting, and after the 30 mins for a couple of mins.

Running long 1:00:00 [3]
It was really hard to make myself go out today esp as it was grey skied and rain was forecast. stupid weatherppl should stop being so optimistic - it never did. anyway the first half was pretty average and i was wondering how i was gonna keep going for an hour, but then it started feeling fine, and i didn't really feel like i was getting any more tired through the rest of it. it was funnn!!! ran along tracks in the mt ainslie bush reserve for 25 mins, but it was getting dark and decided to turn around then so i could keep going in the streets with streetlights after i'd got back to where i started. buttt on the way back i took a wrong turn and ended up going up a hill for a fair way thinking another track would branch off it .. well it didn't so i turned around and went back down! then when i got home i kept running for a few mins to make up the hour.
My sister ate the leftover pizza i'd been looking forward to having after running though! :(
Note
i take back what i said about the weatherppl being stupid coz apparently it actually did rain in some parts of canberra. oops. if anyone knows any canberra weatherppl then they can feel free to tell them i no longer think they're stupid :P
