Circuits (otc) 44:00 [5]

OTC training, it was the hardest circuits session i've ever done...1min40secs of effort, 20secs rest. x 22.
normal exercises but with big weights. each one went on and on and on

the warmdown was a game of dodgeball which made me even hotter and there were 2 balls and no one knew what they were doing any of the time

seeing as the warmdown didnt work i got (some of) them to go running too

distance is guess but between daves and lucys
10 x 30 secs, alternating with 11 x 15 secs. springvale
at the end a lady who watched us training up the hill gave us a note of thanks as she could hardly speak with excitement

Trail race 20:30 [5] 5.5 km (3:44 / km)

queen's cup road/xc race at sandhurst. 1st f. 6th overall
felt alright but a bit unfit probably because of no fast running for weeks, got tired 1/2way. my team came 2nd. somehow i blanked out the pain of ribs and the leg- cant be that bad then!

cycled to get knee support so i can hopefully run further than 3 miles, then cycled home. probably silly to race on saturday

leg ok with support, it usually hurts at exactly 3 miles - so i ran less!
10 mins out, 8.55 back. ribs hurt.

ribs hurt to just breathe for over a week, ok to ski though as not out of breath, but definately not allowed to fall over.

up to red tarn by helvellyn with lizzie and tom via birkhouse moor, planned to do helvellyn too but it was too windy/snowy/misty so we came down instead, when i fell over chasing tom and gauged a big hole out of my hip.
and also fractured a rib!

loughrigg fell race, ambleside. 2nd behind lizzie
only turned up to watch, but then was persuaded/bullied by lucy and lizzie to run 5 minutes before it started and my legs ached but it was fun

checking out wasdale race. from wastwater, along road, then back, then along again, then up seatallon, then another hill, then wall, then down valley. then stood in lake for 10 minutes (very cold). very misty on top.

then frisbee (apparently ultimate) with lizzie and tom, was a lot more effort than the run

up slieve donard (biggest mountain) with lucy, took 50 mins to get to top via valley and mourne wall, down via steep bit and crag. very windy
had to run a way on road before and after and we're both a bit crippled
