Bit tired on the hills from yesterday but feeling 100 x better than last week when every run was a massive struggle.

Running 5:00 [2] 0.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Minimal jog around before the start - freezing in the wind.

Road Race (Sheffield Half Marathon) 1:24:12 [4] 13.1 mi (6:26 / mi) +300m 6:00 / mi

Set off steady, aiming to average 6.30 miles. Steady up the hill into a headwind. Neil gave me a gel at Norfolk Arms, took it in sips along Sheephill Road - made stomach a bit funny I think. Felt slightly tired on the hill out of Dore, and Ecclesall Road South felt less downhill than I'd hoped. Just hung on the last few miles - miles 10-12 were 5.40s (along Eccy Rd slightly downhill).

Ended up 3rd lady and got interviewed for Look North (wasn't looking my 'best' - hopefully it won't make the final cut!).

A fun first half marathon - loved it! Tough windy course but the crowd support was amazing and helped loads, it especially helped seeing loads of people I know out there supporting :)

2 miles before, 2 x 0.5 between, 3.4 after. With Neil.
