Barra half marathon (Barrathon). Tough course with the wind, heat and hills. Not really feeling very fit or rested but ploughed on. Fantastic race though with fabulous scenery and huge buffet afterwards.

The only slight negative was the discrepancy in value between the first man and first woman’s prize - not that I care about getting a prize but if there is one it’s nice to be considered equal.

Sandall Beat Trail 10k. Unusual course zig zagging through woods and round some very rutted fields. Didn’t feel great so it felt harder than expected for the pace. But it was very uneven in places and not easy to get into a good rhythm.
