dark peak club run, hardly anyone there - ran with mick and tim. rainy! hilly, fastish mostly but then frazzled by 9 miles - last bit from top of tom lane back to club hut a slow plod. 10 hours working on site today too - very exhausted.

Totally exhausted after another 9 hours working on site. Had to rest an hour after getting in before forcing myself on a run. So tired. Bed at 9.30. Feels like Friday after working over the weekend.

5 x 400. Felt tired and nothing to give so packed in the sesh. Not surprising in hindsight after race on Sunday with cake for recovery, not much food on Monday and no water on Tuesday.
6 laps warm up with Ruth, 6 warm down with Neil.

birthday treat - first xc race! south yorkshire xc league. melton college, doncaster. very fun day and a big relief to be racing again.

2 miles warm up. jessica ennis was on the track being filmed. each lap i kept running past trying to look like i hadn't noticed her or all the cameras.

4 x 1km off 6.10: 3.23, 3.24, 3.26, 3.25.

Cross Country Race race 13:24 [5]

northern xc relay champs. HHS team with nic and calli.
i was disappointed with this, and feeling unfit, until i looked back to last time i ran this race, 9 Oct 2010 - got the hip injury 4 days later...and today was my first proper race since then!
training diary is so so dull in the 2 years, for months id have given my right arm to even jog, so now i'm not so disappointed but really happy i even made the start line!

4 x 1km. 3.35's ish. usual tuesday evening rain. fun though.
first ever trip to don valley ... it was expensive - £1.15 a rep!

w/u: eccy woods bus to town, ran over spider bridge, track.
w/d: 1 mile with girls then ran to eddies car because he'd parked at woodbourne road.
