Left achilles a bit niggly on the shorter early reps but ok once warmed up & stretched. Feeling tired and not wanting to go too fast to protect achilles hence the slow times.

Rainy run round the wrong way round Rivelin with Neil. Straight lined it Rivelin to Crookes at the end - legs not so happy (and it destroyed our average pace!)

Askern 10k
Set off fastish but not crazy, kept expecting to blow up but it never happened. The ks seemed to tick off quickly until about 7. Had kind of thought I might run at about 6.15 pace so surprised to be a lot faster. Really enjoyed it and a new pb.

First 5k in 18.03, second in 18.43 so slowed a little but there was a (slight) hill from 5-6k.

Felt great on the warm up which is usually a sure sign for a crap race but tried to ignore that.

Ran 4 miles to parkrun with Lucy from Charli's. Cut it fine so arrived as it set off, I had to dump bag so ended up at the back & spent the whole run weaving through. Then ran back.

Steady run on Bristol Downs - looped around a bit to get 15 miles in as wanted to run on grass & make the most of no big hills.

Staying at gran's in Bristol so ran Little Stoke parkrun, probably for the last time sadly as it's probably stopping at the end of May, such a shame - the parish councillers really seem to have lost sight of what is important.

Parkrun 18.18, then did 4 mile tempo ave 6.25s - Was aiming for 6.15s so a bit off pace but glad to get it done.

Parked at Rivelin cafe, ran to Damflask, did 2 laps, ran back. It was so lovely by Damflask in the early sun and without anyone else there that I had to go round twice (although then I saw someone from work on the second lap so it wasn't quite as good).
