Fell Race (GRAVY PUD FELL RACE) 42:43 [4]

i missed breaking my record for this race by one second :( but it was very very muddy this year unlike last year when it was frozen and runnable so was probably actually a better run today.
very slippy, dangerous bridges, lots of gates and freezing hands but no cake

Warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Note

I saw things in the peak district for the first ever time today - I could see little streams and rocks and sheep and things it was so exciting I didnt know it looked so pretty and was not just a big blurred expanse of green and brown which is all I have been able to see for the past 2 years

Running 17:00 [3]

i went for a short fast late run because i was drawing the peak district all day, my legs are sore and i thought a chicken might be burning.

Running 25:00 [2]

tired and busy until late-ish but finally dragged myself out and of course really glad i did as running made me happy again

Note

discovered lower legs are very sore when i press thumbs into them.

Running 21:30 [2]

down to boots to pick up new lenses - i can now see, but the world is smaller because it does not have half a centimeter of blur around everything any more

Note

i decided on no spinning or intervals - tight muscles at front of lower legs

Running (william hills race) 52:37 [3] 7.6 mi (6:55 / mi) +143m 6:32 / mi

I cannot run and read maps together - so I'd planned to run with someone who knew the way - and did not look at the map before I set off.
but then i decided to run it the Other Way Round, alone, to get the long hill from hunters bar to crookes in (i liked this way round, its a good hill)

however looking at the map afterwards I did some daft long routes somehow adding a lot on. i had to keep stopping to stand and read map. wandered around for a while trying to find the leopold st one. And stood outside the train station for ages at one point wondering what i was doing there. oh well

Spinning (am) 45:00 [4]

Warm up/down (am) 15:00 [2]

ice everywhere early this morning so careful running. did bit of extra cycling

Track session (pm) 22:00 [4]

meant to do 10x2mins but only did 7 - got pain then cramp in feet and both legs on the front/side - too cold maybe?? duno why else?
I really do not like unfinishing a running session - especially on such an uneven number as seven

Warm up/down (pm) 20:00 [1]

legs ok for warm up and down but feet cramps at home - how annoying
maybe i'm just not suitable for cold weather
