Ladybower short loop. Dreading this run as knew leg wasn't better, sure enough calf sore before 2 miles. Carried on round the lap but no good really - right leg totally seized up.
Feeling a bit concerned about marathon (7 weeks to go) - today was supposed to be 20 miles.

Note

Saw Richard pm - glute & hamstring attached and in spasm causing seizing up leg and calf pain. Feeling a lot looser afterwards. hip / si joint are ok - probably why the si clunking didn't work.
Almost cancelled marathon place earlier today - may have to reassess my goals - priority is to get to the start line.

5.5m jog in rivelin- right leg no better. Hamstring, glute and top of calf inside all pulling.
2.5m jog with si belt - so slow couldn't tell if it was much different.

First attempt at a 'marathon pace' tempo run. From Infirmary Road Tesco out to Oughtibridge for 4 miles and back. With hopeful marathon pace at 6.45s this was a bit too quick - definitely no way I could do it 3 times. Tried not to look at watch pace for some miles but ended up running quicker on these miles because I was worried it would be slower... clearly need some pacing practice! Right leg still tight, coming from hip - more stretching required.
