Last marathon long run at Ladybower on a gorgeous day. Legs feeling recovered from last week apart from calfs extremely tight before the run and both achilles niggly up to about 15 miles, but eventually loosened off and achilles felt better after the run than before. Felt better on this 22 miler than the last one but it wasn't as hot today. No gel but two sips of of water - energy levels ok. Pretty desperate for water by the end though.

Need to decide if and when to take a gel in the marathon, and how to carry it or pick it up from Neil somewhere.

Easy run from home out to the Ladybower Inn via Stannage Edge and Hathersage. Calfs tight esp right one. Dark by the end.

More jogging - 2 miles am, 4 pm. Not feeling energetic.
