Went for a nice ride with Jan.

My foot is feeling a lot better but its not 100% yet so I dont want to test it out. I really hope it is good for next week.

Note

Went to the doctor today to see if my foot had any major problems and he said that i just strained a tendon. So im going to rest it for the next few days and then it should be fine. I'm just bummed that I wont be able to do the steeple chase tomorrow.

1700 yards: Thought I could just swim instead of run until I leave so I can stay fit but not hurt my foot, but my foot didn't feel good after I was done so I decided to sit around and rest it until I leave.

It was hard to pace myself when I didn't know the mile markers and when im not used to training this pace. And when ever I dont know what pace im at I always go faster. 6:28 is definately too fast though. I think I will try to keep it around 6:45 for now on.

So today I found out that the pace I should be training at is between 6:28 and 6:52 minutes per mile. So I gave it a try. At first it felt really fast, but after a bit I got used to it and it was fine.

Ya, I probably shouldn't have eaten a full 12 inch sub a few hours before i ran but I did. That may have been the reason i didn't get the 4:26 but I will definitely be able to get it next year. I still got my PR by a few hundredths of a second though, my time was 4:27.00

Had our state class meet today, our school is MM so we are in a pretty fast class. I was seeded third and thats what I finished with, the two kids in front of me have a 4:22 and 4:23. But now that I was top 5 I will be moving on to the state open on monday.

States yesterday was canceled yesterday due to thunderstorms and was postponed until friday. So today we didnt want to do a long run or a work out so we did fartleks. We jogged the turns and strided the straight aways.

I looked up the seed times for states today and found out that I am seeded third for MM, so I will most likely be going to state opens on monday.
