Running warm up/down 3:52 [3] 0.5 mi (7:44 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Running (time trial) 5:29 [3] 1.0 mi (5:29 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Running 24:43 [3] 3.38 mi (7:19 / mi)

Note

It was cold and rainy today, and we had hard practice. We did a half mile warm up. Then we did the normal static stretching, pushups, situps, and dynamic stretching. Then the distance squad did a one mile time trial. I didn't go all out because of my injury, but I still went fast. After the mile we took a short break and then ran about 3.38 miles and stretched.

Wednesday Mar 25, 2009 #

Running warm up/down 3:40 [3] 0.5 mi (7:20 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Running 27:42 [3] 3.66 mi (7:34 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Note

So today we did a warm up, static stretching, 8 minute abs, pushups, and then dynamic stretches. Then the distance went off track and did a shorter loop then yesterday, and then did another half mile on the track. Even with a mile taken off from yesterday, half of the team fell back.

Tuesday Mar 24, 2009 #

Running 3:40 [3] 0.5 mi (7:20 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Running 34:11 [3] 4.5 mi (7:36 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Note

Today we warmed up, did static and dynamic stretching, and then pushups and situps. Then the distance ran 4.5 miles off of the track. The two freshmen fell behind early, so I turned around and told them to go a road that will cut off about 1.5 miles. Even with that they walked most of it. Then there were three of us that were able to stay on pace, everyone fell back and started to jog, or walk. After we got back, we stretched.

Monday Mar 23, 2009 #

Running warm up/down 6:54 [3] 1.0 mi (6:54 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Running 22:25 [3] 3.0 mi (7:28 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Note

Today we had our first track practice! It was freezing, so we stole the baseball teams dugout and had a team meeting. Then we stretched, without warming up, and then we dynamic stretches and exercises, then we did an ab workout.

After that the team split up, and the distance did a mile warm up and stretched again. Then we did three more miles and stretched after.

I felt fast today because my friend and I had no problem keeping the pace. But the other distance/mid distance runners kept saying to slow down.

Sunday Mar 22, 2009 #

Orienteering (Crandalls - Sprint B) 16:04 [3] *** 2.3 km (6:59 / km)
spiked:8/9c shoes: New Balanced 857

I went out too fast on the first control and forgot to look at the map, thats something to pay attention to next weekend. But other then that, I had no problem with the rest of the course.

Orienteering (Crandalls - Sprint A) 20:56 [3] *** 2.2 mi (9:31 / mi)
spiked:8/9c shoes: New Balanced 767

On this one I did the same as the last one and went out too fast. I decided to be more cautious with my recovering injury and take this one slower.

Friday Mar 20, 2009 #

Running 18:48 [3] 2.9 mi (6:29 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Tomorrow I wont be running because I will be at my friends house setting up for out sweet 16 party all day. So I over compensated by going a little faster, that was a mistake. My leg was really hurting after, so I iced it for a while.

Thursday Mar 19, 2009 #

Running 20:05 [3] 2.9 mi (6:56 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

It was kinda cold and rainy, but I went for a run anyways. I did a warm up and stretched, then ran, and stretched some more.

Wednesday Mar 18, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

My legs are kinda sore, especially my right one, so I decided to take today off and stretch it a lot.

Tuesday Mar 17, 2009 #

Running 19:05 [3] 2.9 mi (6:35 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

I went over my friends house to make party favors for out sweet 16 this weekend, so when I came home I had some leftover chocolate in my stomach. And I decided to go for a run, I felt like I was going slow, but apparently not.

Monday Mar 16, 2009 #

Note

Tomorrow we have a meeting for track, which starts next monday. So if the meeting doesn't take too long, then the other distance people and I are going to go for a run.

Swimming 1:30:00 [3]

Swim Practice, today was like any normal practice, but we did some dry land training. In one I felt a sharp pain in my achilles, felt kinda like a charlie horse. I was worried for a bit, but when I got out of the pool it felt like normal. However, when I got home, I iced it just incase.

Sunday Mar 15, 2009 #

Running 19:50 [3] 2.9 mi (6:50 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

It was soo nice out today, 60 and sunny, perfect weather. So I did part of my run and then stopped to stretch. Then I finished my run and stretched.

I Cant believe im running this fast, either my watch is messed up and isn't working, or that new running form that I developed from physical therapy is realllly effective.

Saturday Mar 14, 2009 #

Running 15:56 [3] 2.2 mi (7:14 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

So much for slowing down like I said I was going to. I started my run with two kids that live on my street, but they were running too slow, so I went ahead.

Next time I go for a run, probably tomorrow, I will go a little farther, so like 2.5 or 3 miles.

Running 16:27 [3] 2.2 mi (7:29 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

I finally got up to the speed I wanted to be running at, a 7:30, but I think it might be a little fast. So I will back off a little during my next run.

Wednesday Mar 11, 2009 #

Running 17:10 [3] 2.2 mi (7:48 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Felt fine throughout the run, I will stay at this distance for a few more days and then move up.

Tuesday Mar 10, 2009 #

Running 11:52 [3] 1.5 mi (7:55 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Today I felt fine again so tomorrow I will run 2 miles instead.

Running 12:37 [3] 1.5 mi (8:25 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Sunday Mar 8, 2009 #

Running 12:08 [3] 1.5 mi (8:05 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 767

Today it was beautiful out so I grabbed my short shorts and went for a short run. I didn't have any pain in my achilles, so I will do this for a few more days and then move up to 2 or 2.5 miles.

Saturday Mar 7, 2009 #

Swimming warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Swimming race 5:00 [3]

Im not sure what my times were but they were all slower than usual because I had no competition at all.

I swam in two relays, then I did the 200 IM, 100 back, and 100 breast.

Running 20:20 [3]
shoes: New Balanced 767

I went for my first run in about 3 weeks today. I thought that I was fully recovered but I guess not. After a bout 15 minutes it started to irritate me and the last minute it kinda hurt. So Im going to slow it down and only do 1.5 miles next time I run.

Tuesday Mar 3, 2009 #

Swimming 1:00:00 [3]

Swim practice. It felt good to do some exercise after doing nothing for a while.

Monday Mar 2, 2009 #

Note

I really need to start running again. My cold is gone, as well as my injury. It shouldn't come back if I continue with my stretches, and don't push my self too hard too early. I will try to start tomorrow after school if I dont have too much homework. I also have CAPT testing the next two weeks, so that sucks.
