So today our coach decided to bus varsity, an hour, all the way to Wickham Park (the location of our state meet) for practice. All we did was warm up, run the couse once, do four accelerations going into the finish line, and then run a little more.

Oddest warm up ever. First we tried to use the bathrooms but there was a cop guarding them cause some other team vandalized them. So none of the guys could go and take a nice crap. Then we went to the opposite end of the golf course and started stretching until it started to rain, thunder, and hail. So we had to run like heck to the ice rink where every one was taking shelter. We freezed our wet butts off in there and then still had to do another warm up and race afterwards.

Had a great run, I knew exactly where I was the entire time except when I got to 7. I thought I was in the swamp to the left of the control but I was actually in the swamp to the right of the control.

Not too great of a race, I was a little slow on 2 because I was trying to find the trail along the edge of the hill. Then I lost a lot of time on 11 because I thought I was too low so I went up the hill when I was actually too high when i started to go up.

Did a pyramid work out on our course. So while doing probably the hardest workout of the year you also had to be going up hills in the rain. The intervals were 3 min hard, 2 min rest, 4.5 min hard, 3 min rest, 6 min hard, 4 min rest, 4.5 min hard, 3 min rest, 3 min hard.

We did some exploring on some trails that we have never gone down and it brought us out on a road by one of our routes, so we just ran back to the school but it turned out the run was a lot shorter than we thought it was.
