Orienteering race (Klondike State Forest) 1:37:01 [4] *** 8.7 km (11:09 / km) +150m 10:16 / km
spiked:13/18c shoes: New Balanced 857

I was doing alright up to 14. Then on 15 I really screwed up and somehow ended up running east instead of west. So that bothered me for the rest of the course and I slowed down. I think it was because I was getting tired and wasn't playing enough attention to my map and compass. So next time I'm going to try using gel packs to keep me alert.

Orienteering race (Salmon Riv. Fish Hatchery) 1:02:04 [4] *** 5.1 km (12:10 / km) +123m 10:52 / km
spiked:11/13c shoes: New Balanced 857

I was doing really good up to 9 where I got confused because of the complex contours. And I caught up to Dane so I started to get too confident and ran to fast. I got ten but then really screwed up on 11.

Note
(rest day)

I got out of school and then we immediately drove to the NAOC. It took six hours but I slept the whole way so I seemed like nothing. We missed the sprints and arrived at our hotel at around 8:30

Running warm up/down 24 [3] 3.0 mi (8 / mi)

Note

Today the bus didn't come back to the school to bring me and a few of my fellow runners to the track. So we ran there, then we did another one mile warm up, and stretched. Then we ran one more mile and then did three, one miles. In between each one we walked a 100 and jogged a 100.

Mile 1 - 6:04
Mile 2 - 6:20
Mile 3 - 6:06

We weren't to good at keeping a 6:05 pace. But my legs were still heavy from my race on tuesday. After the three miles we did a two mile cool down, and stretched. We were supposed to take the bus back to the school, but it was no where to be seen so we ran back and the bus ended up passing us half way there.

Running race (Home) 17:21 [4] 3.1 mi (5:36 / mi)
shoes: Asics, Hyper - XC

Today was our only home meet. We did a warm up and stretched. Our coach was really stressed out and made us get to the line 10 minutes before everyone else. I got first but I still like I could have gone a lot harder. After we ran we did our normal cool down and then went home.
